Not really sure what to make of this, I defiantly won't double dip or pirate the game. I was once really excited about this game but think I may even hold off now and pick it up cheap.

If they cannot be bothered me with as a PC gamer why should I buy on release for a premium when I can wait another month or 2 and pick it up cheaper.

It's a shame the PC is released, the cynic in me thinks it's because it'll take the shine off the console release as the PC version will be prettier.

Rockstar should pull out the stops the PC community, that's were this all started.

It wouldn't have been so bad if they would have just said something sooner. They showed those new screens and videos and said coming fall, so a lot of people will have been expecting the PC version as well. Was hoping to upgrade my PC and play it in the Christmas holidays when I have a couple of weeks to really get into it, but now seems like there is no point :(.

Oh BTW for all the people saying they will be using the extra time to make it better optimised etc.

I point you towards watch dogs and what the developers said......

Enough said!

Truth is no one will know until it comes out and we can all see what it's like for ourselves. We can argue till the cows come home about how good or bad it might be :p

Personally I can't wait. Anything will be better than the PS3 version.

http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/09/12/there-are-711-million-pc-gamers-in-the-world-today-says-intel/

According to Intel there are 711m PC gamers in the world today...not sure if all 711m can run GTA5 but still............. PC gaming is the most almighty beast in gaming by a long way ;) yet we still get console leftovers & treated like unwelcome guests who they are doing us a favour by releasing their game on PC

Its not by accident Gamefly are having an 80% off GTA4 sale this weekend starting today after the release date announcement is it

You'd think they would want to make that behemoth of a player base their new audience.

I just can't find the reasoning in it, the amount of new console players doesn't even cut into the ink when comparing it to the PC player base.

I don't understand why they aren't trying to win over PC gamers and earn their business.

Leaving an entire gaming platform as an after-thought has undoubtedly put a lot of people off buying this game. Surely rational thinking would have them trying their absolute hardest to take advantage of that huge player base- not alienate them until the last second.

Different developers and publishers, I don't see the link.

Has happened with plenty other publishers and developers too.

People are too gullible and forget at the end of the day, the number one priority is profit for these companies. I honestly would not be surprised if Microsoft & Sony handed over a nice sum to Rockstar to delay the PC version.
