Max Payne 3 gives high hopes! They were basing the sales of MP3 on PC to determine whether its worth supporting it in the future, and they made a killing so GTA V is all but guaranteed.

That makes it even more likely if sales were better on PC than expected.

IE they expected to sell 5mil, and only 500k on the PC, instead they sell 3mil, and 800k on the PC, you've gone from hoping the PC sales make up 10% of your sales, to making up 26% of your sales. Also if it costs say, $1mil to port a game and 200k sales will cover the cost of porting and every sale above that is profit, 250k sales makes it almost worthless, 800k sales means huge profit.
