GTA V

A dual core might do for resolutions below 1080p but I can't see it being very good, especially with multiplayer.

CPU has zero impact on anything resolution related. The reason a higher resolution runs at a lower frame rate is entirely down to more instructions being pushed through the pixel shaders. If you want to be pedantic the larger frame buffer also uses slightly more VRAM too but that shouldn't be an issue that would slow it down.

Quad cores, if used correctly by games, allow for better physics, AI and background loading of data. The resolution of the game affects none of these things. Your cars will still bounce the same whether you're running at 800x600 or 4K, same goes for AI pathfinding.

EDIT:
To make my comment useful, if your CPU is bottlenecking your frame rate then try finding settings that reduce load distance of objects, some games even have a maximum distance at which physics is fully calculated which can be lowered. Reducing civilian and vehicle counts would also help if available.

I can't see it being delayed even more given that PS4/XB1 versions have been out for some time. If it has become a TWIMTBP perhaps they need time to find ways to gimping the game for AMD cards. :D

I read somewhere that we may even start to hear about GTA6 soon so I'd be surprised if that happened before GTA5 hits PC.

Rather them do a expansion of gta 5 by adding the other areas from gta sa and remastering sa into 5 for the story. Would be freaking epic that.

A return to Vice City does have a certain appeal to it. The deep south american culture has plenty of room for parody.

I have to admit though increasing GTA Vs map size and adding in northern California and San Fierro.

I caved in last weekend and pre-ordered a retail version of the game, just a double-dip for me. I only finished the story missions on PS3 about a month ago, turns out I only had two missions to finish the last time I played the game towards the start of last year :o

Glad to see GTA 6 is being mentioned already, it'll be interesting to see where it is set considering they decided to miss re-making Vice City and skipped straight to Los Santos.

This is turning in to a seriously long couple of months extra.

I see nothing from R* confirming GTA6 - we all know it will come that's obvious but that's as pointless as saying FIFA 16 confirmed.

Didn't it take them like 5 years for IV to V?

Need to be another Vice City. The game and the map was great. Needs to be remade, be bigger and more dense. Would love to see a 201X Vice City.

EDIT, just googled GTA 6 and there is talk online of Portland, Oregon. WHAT!!!!
