I've just streamed a Steam game to my HTPC for the first time, and it works flawlessly. Just found another reason why I'm glad I bought the steam version cos that's going to be quite handy if I want to sit on my bed and play it on a 50" TV :D

So tempted to buy this off steam for £40.... but Ive NEVER purchase a PC game for £40 in my life... and I swear Im not going to start now...

So don't? Greenmangaming has it with a discount code that's been listed several times in the past few pages which makes it around £30. It's not on steam, it's a Rockstar social club thing but a small price to pay IMO.

Last time I tried it the input lag did my head in, even over a wired connection not wifi. Maybe I need to try it again.

Just noticed my CPU is running at 45c idle and instantly jumps to 70c under load, instantly back to 45c when back to idle. Something isn't right  Hate to think what temperature it reached when I ran firestrike the other day...

I was expecting input lag. I was playing Just Cause 2 multiplayer, and I couldn't detect any lag whatsoever, I was genuinely impressed by it.

Which CPU and cooler are you running?

You guys going with sp first and then mp?

Single player to begin with I think. We don't even know if multiplayer will be available right away yet I don't think.

surely it makes sense to book time off work after recieving confirmation that the game is in a playable state??

Thankfully my employer is pretty casual in that respect so if it's a naff port I'll just stroll into work :D

When my old CPU would overheat in the summer the PC would just reset to prevent damage occurring.

i5 750 overclocked to 3.6ghz with corsair H50 watercooler. These temps certainly don't seem quite right, normally at least 10c lower, at least they were last time I checked. *investigates*

Had to check emails as I couldn't remember what the cooler was, bought most of this system in 2009. Didn't realise I was running a 5+ year old computer

45C idle? it should be at near room temperature mate, sounds like it needs new thermal paste or the heatsink is loose.
