Oh I am not clever.
Managed to find my thermal compound, which hasn't gone off, so took off the pump and although the old paste hadn't dried out it was a bit "thicker" in some places so cleaned it off and put everything back together. Temps dropped a couple of degrees but nothing much. Checked the speed of the pump to verify that was running properly, which it was.
Then it dawned on me, shine a light through the radiator, it might look clear but it could be dusty between the fins. Actually between the fins was fine, but there was a nice covering between the radiator and the fan so not noticeable if you just glance at it.
Been running realbench for 10 minutes and temps are holding steady around 62c, down from 78c
Really shouldn't have taken that long for me to think of looking on the other side of the radiator for dust

I always blast my rads out with compressed air lol! They are big dust traps.
just bought this out of NOWHERE. had it on 360, got it on ps4, and now suddenly i have it on PC
I honestly believe that was a factor in their delayed strategy

I'm just setting it up so that I should be able to share the rockstar files since rockstar's servers are giving such poor speeds, should give you much better speeds to preload.

Yeah, should make it much quicker to get the preload files shared amongst us. It's not like you can do anything with the files anyway; besides, we all have legal right to the files since we've bought the game and it's just between ocuk people.
Would have made sense for rockstar to build p2p into the download client.

If, on release day, you manage to log in to social club, I'd very much recommend not logging out or closing the game at all if you want to come back to it later in the day.
