Read somewhere that Rockstar were hiring for PC dev team for GTA5, not sure if it's a rumour or what

Oooh mountain downhill bike races, who's in?
So, some peeps say "meh" current gen showing their age, and others saying "BS" no way this is running on current consoles 
So which is it?...
Anyway, I think its looking freaking awesome, and hope it will look like this on my 360.... what a great way to finish this gen off, before getting my PS4

That was defo not PS3 or 360 footage "NO CHANCE" lol
Take Max Payne 3 for example, on Console they couldn't have all the reflections on the floors but PC version did.
Now go and look at the detail on GTA5 in the bank scene
Even all the textures in the street when he walks out the shop are very high detail.
What they showing here is NOT possible on console ps3 or 360.

I hope it comes to PC / next gen in a timely fashion. I don't think I can afford to re-buy a current gen console just to play it.

Same thing mate. Meh they are showing their age and look rubbish and no way are they running on current gen because........they showing their age and look rubbish thus not able to run them.

Yeah its PS3 as you see the button prompts when hes about to absail through the window. I cant quite decide as it does look better than current gen consoles but it dosnt look that much better where you could say its next gen or even DX11 PC quality. Still loads of jaggies and dull low res textures in parts. They must have rung every last bloody bit of power outta those ageing boxes to get it running even at 30fps though and I bet it still drops into single digits at times. You can see in some of the on foot parts that its 30fps and maybe less but the plane and car part looked quite smooth.

Of the two camps I favour the 'this is running on current console hardware, and it will look like this on release'... yes, in some respects its showing the age of the hardware, but still looks amazing.
If it were running on PC I would want it looking better than this, but that's not to take anything away from what Rockstar have done, within such limitations.... and the gameplay looks pretty cool too, and that's the most important bit
If the whole games looks like what we see in the video then I will be very impressed with what Rockstar have been able to achieve.
I can't help but think they have been very unlucky with the release timing of the game though. It will probably be one of the Swan song games of this current generation of consoles.
no aliasing, no draw distance pop in, shadows look respectable etc.
the last of us isnt as complex as GTA V though is it.

Sorry dude but I think your talking nonsense. Its a known fact that consoles peek towards the end of their lifespan, the devs work on these games for years so it always take a while to take full advantage of the machines capability's.
If you put that in game footage next to "the last of us" in game footage then you will see where I am coming from.
I'm a PC gamer, I own a PS3 but im not a fan boy of either, I am a fan of games, I don't care about the politics, allegiances or stupid console wars but sometimes this PC section has far to many fan boys. I seen a lot of this when the PS4 was announced - loads of you posting how the games are shown on PC hardware....well friggin DUHH, what do you think a gaming console is? its a machine that runs on a cpu with ram, a gfx card, a HDD and so on....
GTAV is yet to be announced for PC unfortunately so in the mean time enjoy it on your consoles and stop bitching that this gameplay demo was not running on a PS3 or 360, in my opinion your wrong and your not fully aware of the power that the current GEN still has to offer.
