How long did it take before 4 went from "poorly optimised" to playable?Everyone moaned about GTA4 being poorly optimised and a bad port but with mods in 1440p it looks nothing like the console version.
From videos I have seen of GTA5, yes, its looks fantastic on 7 year old hardware but IMO still not as good as modded GTA4 on PC in max res & settings.
It just goes to show what can be done with code and how well PC games should look and how PS4 and Xbox One games will look soon
Looking forward to grabbing 5 and playing it with a 360 controller on PC when ever it comes out.

Every AssCreed game since 1/2 has been terrible? But that is just my opinion, has no place in this thread, and doesn't at all affect whether or not you like them
As for the piracy issue, PS3 and Xbox versions were on PirateBay before launch... Sooo, there's that...

I love them all though, just hope theres real stealth in the next one unlike all the ones before them. 'Assassin's' Creed yet there is no stealth system... Okay. Yeah, the consoles have a lot of downsides, initially there is the fact that they make half per console unit in profit than what they would through digital PC distribution which is where 90% of us get our games. Secondly there is a second hand sales which completely screw the developer and publisher over and take a huge chunk of their profits, and thirdly, there is as much piracy on consoles as there is PC. If you check any dodgy website, the console versions of any game have the same amount of activity as the PC versions, but there are 2 platforms for the consoles which actually leads to double the piracy rate.

This is very true, a lot of PC gamers will choose to not pay for it when it releases on principle. Whilst I'm not one of them (assuming it releases at all) I can sympathize with them for doing so. It's a huge, huge boat load of money they are squandering by urinating on the PC fanbase for reasons I stated in my last post.
They're as braindead as Crapcom when it comes to making money tbh.
I'd take any rumours like that with a pinch of salt until it comes from the Horse's mouth.

It's the Japanese companies tbf, Nintendo are the same! Maybe Rockstar are Japanese spies sent to infiltrate America, that would actually make sense now.
It will come to PC, to think otherwise is a bit sensational at best.
I doubt they will need to 'port' it, it will have been made on the PC.
They won't release it on Xbox one, PS4 or PC anytime soon, it'd ^%$£ off the current console folks to see it on those platforms with far more detail etc. They'll hold off, Christmas at the absolute earliest but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't well into next year before we get it on PC

If theres DLC I think they'd want to chase up that avenue before a PC release. PC is a lot more expensive though, not the same market exactly

All the evidence points towards PC being developed in tandem with the console versions, no idea where you're getting the idea it won't be out until middle of next year, GTA V makes the perfect release title for the new consoles too.
