Oh really? The majority of game companies only announce the game a month or two before they actually release it? In reality, most game companies announce their game a year ahead, give previews and interviews in the meantime. Yet, not even a simple confirmation.

The timing is irrelevant, the point is they will release the information when they want and need to.

Besides, the games already been released, so there is very little "previews and interviews" to do, all they have to do is release it for PC and it will sell like hot cakes.

This

I don't think there will be a large gap between the announcement and the release.

I couldn't care less about a GTA V release for PC right now, sure if it is announced I will probably buy it but the truth is we have a lot better games to look forward to that have been announced.

It was relevant to the claim, which was this happens with all game companies, which the evidence shows is not standard practice.

Judging by the number of abandoned console copies observed in CEX, I'm wondering if GTA V is actually, a. Any good, or b. Too hard. Still will probably buy it though TBH since buying the new PC I haven't bothered re-installing either GTA IV or the LCS - can't be bothered with all that Rockstar Social Club nonsense. IMHO San Andreas was a hard act to follow, just so much going on and things to do you actually felt you were living the game.

+1 too on the wish to see RDR 2 on the PC.

I think a billion dollars is enough profit, it's nothing more than pure greed.

They're a business, there's no such thing as "enough". They're free to do as they please.

It obliterated sales records, so of course there's going to be an abundance of second-hand copies, especially when two next-gen consoles have just been launched.
