The reason I want this on PC, is cause I think this can potentially be one graphically stunning game, I mean it looks great on console (Though Online cuts visual power) with the power we behold, I'm hoping they don't pull a GTA IV (they'll most likely will)
Judging by the number of abandoned console copies observed in CEX, I'm wondering if GTA V is actually, a. Any good, .
IF driving took skill, it would become a chore driving from A to B on that massive map. I personally like it, your cars aren't glued to the ground, but they don't slide around as if they were on ice. It allows the player to experiment a bit more (I often found my self weaving in and out of traffic, going off-road a lot, etc.)
This game so overrated - Did not even finish it on PS3 - GTA IV superior in every way.
You think GTA V's vehicles are 'glued' to the ground? Try playing the older GTA's like Vice City or San Andreas, you don't even have to use the breaks while going 100Mph round corners.
I think GTA V's driving is a perfect compromise between GTA IV (terrible driving physics) and San Andreas (cars glued to the ground). I personally love it.
Compared to any game where the driving is a tad more realistic, GTA V's vehicles *are* glued to the road.
I put the game down when I found I could throw a motorbike round a tight bend at 80mph and I saw *no* evidence of physics simulation at all. It was like being on rails.
Learning to control slide is part of what makes driving fun. Physics makes driving fun. You can't just take it out and say "there you go, less to worry about now!"
Well, I guess you like it that way, and so do plenty of others :/
You're missing that point, what if you did go flying every time you went round a corner? The game would very quickly become stale after you get handed the controls.
They're a business, there's no such thing as "enough". They're free to do as they please.
How were GTA IV's physics terrible? Do you know what happens in RL when you try to corner (sharply) at 60 MPH in anything other than a racing car?
GTA IV happens, that's what.
Did you ride any bikes in GTA V? Have you ridden any bikes in RL? The bikes are (somehow) even worse.
Also the damage model in IV was better too. Vehnicles in V don't sustain heavy damage even if driven off a cliff. The worst that happens in that case is you might lose a door or your bumper.
This is alleged to be an early dev build of the PC version.
I'm sceptical at best, the movement isn't done by a mouse.
In GTA V, as long as you land on your wheels, you can fall off miles and still survive.
