I will be pre ordering this, the second it's available. This has made my month... One of my favorite games at the moment and I keep stopping my self at 25% play and coming back to it a couple of months later... I'm SO glad I've not gone any further with it and waited.
Let's hope the port is good, no reason why not, new consoles use the same architecture as PC (well, I think) so it shouldn't be that hard to make a port from the 'next gen' version.
I just hope a 780 4GB will live up to this...

i think you'll need 25 in SLI to play it at 640x480.
as for me, i think my 6850 needs upgrading. and my dual core cpu.
still, i'm prepared to compromise on low settings. afterall, i completed the storyline in GTA4 with a single core celeron/8800GTS.
I'll be playing on extreme details with my 2GB 6970...

It's not that I didn't expect it to, it's just I've been recently enjoying it on X360 and I was hoping I could 'make do' with the graphics on X360, but now I know it's coming out on PC it'll be hard to resist.

Is this going to be the start of a lot of pepped up muppets stating "It was obvious, you're stupid for thinking it wasn't coming out". As I don't really have the mind for know it all's lol.
It was pretty obvious and you are pretty stupid for thinking it wasn't coming out.
In all seriousness, did some think it wasn't going to be released? Every other major GTA release has been released eventually on PC so why would this have been any different?

And the best part is that there's been no DLC yet, so I haven't spent anything on my console copy other than buying the game itself!
Hope the PC GTA Online people get access to all of the limited GTA Online content though, would be sucky never being able to get the Roosevelt for instance ('20s car)

Wonder if an SSD would speed up the character select transition, on xbox it would just hang for a while.
The game will be going on an SSD regardless.
It will be better, but for around £200 you can get a 280/x which is a much better card.

For £200 a 280 would be better than a 760. 280Xs occasionally approach £200 when they're on offer.
Personally, though, I'd just wait until closer to release then see what you can get on the MM for that kind of money.

I'm sure it will.
It was still an outstanding achievement for the last gen consoles, it didn't switch to a loading screen and it didn't take that long to transition.
