I thought it was just your progression and character you could transfer, not your cash & assets (apartment/cars etc)?

I remember seeing something on the R* site about the transfer so I'll take a look at that now.

EDIT: https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/202892778#TransferToPC - it seems everything bar PB's, snapmatic photos and bookmarked playlists will be transferred. Nice.

Also caved in and bought. I was very likely going to buy it anyway so may as well get the bonus stuff. It was the pre-load that swayed me, I didn't fancy buying it on release day and then waiting 1 or 2 days for it to download!

Regardless of the risks of pre-ordering, it's such a good feeling seeing it finally in your library...

They just updated today with STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS, so at least that's one thing confirming they're actually putting effort in to the port :)

I wouldn't consider that an effort... It's basic, not even basic...

I still can't decide if I want to pre order or not... Been stung too many times! I know it will be played to death. But ONLY if it runs ok. And it will be hard finding that out as the fanbois will claim it runs perfectly fine (like GTA IV which just doesn't) and all the reviewers being paid to say it's the best port ever.

Preordered on steam on weekend. Time to spend the next month our so playing San Andreas. Still love the game. Apart from vice city, best game made.

NDA for original GTA V launch was the day before. I would guess that this will be the same, and I would bet that totalbiscuit will have a port report up the moment he can do.

i've just seen the minimum requirements are a quad core - albeit an 8 year old one (q6600). it better run on a dual core or else i might cry. i don't mind low settings as i originally played GTA4 on a single core celeron.:D

well i'm sure plenty of other dual core owners will buy it regardless so i'll wait for them to test it. or maybe it will refuse to start? :o

I can't stand that guy but I respect him a lot as he is strongly opinionated and voices his true opinions.

Also, he does go into fantastic detail with graphical settings/performance. If there is a review from him the day before, I will pre order lol.

A dual core might do for resolutions below 1080p but I can't see it being very good, especially with multiplayer.

i won't be playing multiplayer and i'll compromise on res if i have to. my screen is 1080p but i'll have no problem going non-native just to play it.

and the GPU minimum requirements are extremely daft - a 4870 FFS. :p i currently have a pentium g3258 @ 4.2 and 8GB ram. i don't have a GPU yet but i'm looking to get something like a 270.

Have a look on the MM, there are some right bargains. I recently bagged a hd7950 boost for £75.
