Just ordered and pre-loaded through Steam. I can't wait! Haven't played it before but you know it's going to be pretty damn awesome! Shame I'm having to work all week!

From what i have picked up in this thread I think you use the proxy to add it to your cart, then disconnect and checkout as normal.

Can someone confirm what happens at the end of the download?

Mine hasn't done anything, just shows cancel and retry but its fully downloaded :S

edit: nevermind, seems to have glitched and is going again. wtf

If I start preloading via Rock Star and then have to stop it, will it continue again when I restart?

Having just caught up again on the last couple of pages, I have to say I am quite glad to gave paid the £10 premium to have the game on Steam for it to be 100% hassle free!

Just started the preload. Seem to be getting max download speeds. Hopefully will stay that way!!

Spoke way too soon. It's droped form 8Mb/s down to 200Kb/s

Mine started at that for a couple of minutes before reducing to dial-up speeds from the 90s.

Steam servers seems to be the way to download this game. maxes your connection easily

After pausing the download for a minute and then resuming, the speed seems to have gone back up to 1MB/s

Although it's still telling me there's 2 days, 11 hours remaining...
