GTA V?

This, don't get yourselves suspended over something so stupid, I should know I've fell into that trap myself :D

Point taken. Just saying I was disappointed that Red Dead Redemption never came out for pc thats why I'm not taking it as a given that GTAV 5 is coming to PC even though I hope it does.

Once I see an announcement from Rockstar I will know for sure.

If that makes me dense then too bad.

Anyhow why the secrecy ?

Red Dead was a brand new IP that they didn't see as profitable on PC, that ontop of the fact it was a poorly coded mess. GTA has always came to PC, and it started as a PC game. Ever since Vice City, Rockstar have done this. They wait 4-5 months from release to announce a GTA title for PC and then another few months to release it. They do it to maximise console sales so that as many PC gamers buy both versions as possible.

I wanted red dead on PC myself :(

It doesn't make you dense as who knows Rockstar may stop making PC releases for all we know.

Secrecy is probably to preserve console sales. IIRC Sony and MS sold an extra 200-300k 360's and PS3's in GTA V launch week. Crazy when you think how close the next consoles are to release. Unfortunately I caved in and bought a PS3 to play it myself, don't regret it though, brilliant game when you get over the jaggies :)

To maximise the console sales. Honestly, it's quite simple. The evidence is there for you to see, just look at all of the previous titles release dates, then the subsequent PC release months later. I'm not saying there definitely will be a PC version, but I'd be astonished if there wasn't. Statements like 'don't hold your breath' suggest you know something different from past experience, when obviously you don't.

How does dont hold your breath imply that I know something different ? lol

It means dont be disapointed if it dosent come to PC.

Don't be silly, don't hold your breath means exactly what he's said, don't be disappointed basically...

Pedantic or what?

It's a dumb thing to say though. Where is the logic? Despite showing him all of the reasons there will be a PC release he persists with it, as if he knows better. Just stupid.

Crikey that's a lot of bickering!

Either way, GTA V will be coming to the PC, it's simply a matter of time to let them milk the sales from both the exiting and entering generation of consoles.

Exactly. You've made no attempt to back up your claim, which is what is annoying.

Well that works both ways, none of us can backup the claim it will DEFINITELY come to PC either, it's very likely but at the moment there is no concrete information to back it up is there?
