GTA V?

Well that works both ways, none of us can backup the claim it will DEFINITELY come to PC either, it's very likely but at the moment there is no concrete information to back it up is there?

Aside from its development being let slip in a developers recent CV, and PC-aimed code being found through some file unpacking, not really no.

Rockstar will deliver, have faith! :D

I know it's very likely but I'm just looking at it from the opposite perspective.

Personally doubt we'd see a 2013 release. I mean they've released it on current gen consoles now because they're at the peak of ownership levels so the most customers. If anything I imagine we'd see a small price drop on it before xmas to try and tempt people who held off launch week purchase, say a drop to 35 quid or something.

IMO a PC release would come either same time as or after the launch of an updated xbox1 / ps4 version because that will come (the whole texture issues the xbox360 version has had says to me they've got a better version done that they've had to scale back to run on current hardware and just got a bit wrong).

Also don't particularly believe rumours circulating that MS and Sony paid through the nose to try and maintain console exclusivity.

I initially thought that the PC version would come after the X1/PS4, but I've changed my mind on that after reading about the expected sales figures of the new consoles. I think Sony (possibly MS too) are estimating 1.5 million consoles by end of 2013 and 4m by April 2014. Taking these figures at face value the PC version would surely offer greater profits.

I mean most of the folks who have a current console are not going to buy the same game. Sure some will, but not a high amount. They might feel like that at the moment, but the hype of the game will surely die off and folks will move onto other things. I believe it's mainly PC gamers who are licking the lips at picking up this game and the PC version will come first, or like you say the same time.

Also for the next gen console version it might sell via trade in, where as the PC version at £40 will be all profit.

Just going to say, that if you liked the driving in SA, or GTA4, you'll hate the driving in GTA V.

If you liked the driving in Sleeping Dogs, you'll like the driving in this.

It's arcadey to the point of not needing to slow down (much) to corner. Also you can have 10 head on collisions in a row at 100 mph and only damage the bonnet a little.

Frankly, I hope they mod the **** out of the driving for the PC version, because the driving is plain ass :/

Yeah, I agree with that. I mean it's all hypothetical anyway but I could see the release of a PC version being strategically placed a month or so after a next gen console version (like a kind of remastered gold edition yadda yadda), just to soak extra cash out of that small number of consumers who have powerful PCs but tend to jump at the latest and greatest version of anything and so are early adopters of next gen consoles.

On the hand, that's exactly the kind of crappy selling tactics that have been ****ing the gaming community off recently so they may figure it's not worth sullying their reputation.

I'm holding out for the PC version so hopefully it won't be too far off. Whether it'll launch at the same time as the inevitable next-gen consoles port I'm not sure but I hope it'll be within 6 months.

http://www.techspot.com/news/54308-rumor-grand-theft-auto-v-coming-to-pc-in-q1-2014.html

Yesterday, Eurogamer cited "multiple industry sources" in a report claiming that Grand Theft Auto V would be released on PC in the first quarter of 2014, adding more fuel to the rumor fire. PC gamers have been holidng out for the title ever since its console release on September 17, but so far there has been no official word from publisher Rockstar Games on the matter.

The rumour mill is in full flow, fingers crossed it's true.

no doubt this would come out on the PC just a matter of when

no way im getting the console version even if it didn't come out

for me a game like GTA is no fun at 25fps and less

I thought this as well considering I've been a PC gamer the last 5 years, how wrong I was, GTA V has been the best game I've played for a long time and I try most new PC releases when they come out.

It's not that bad tbh, though I do wish I had waited and got it when it comes out on pc. It still looks pretty good, but it did often give me a headache..... The jaggies do really get in the way, and it does look a little bland sometimes. I didn't notice many frame rate issues after the first patch either, but then, I am not really too bothered about FPS in games like this.

It is a really great game though.

Co-worker bought this for me on Xbox yesterday.

Just played through maybe the first 20 minutes and have turned it off. I so badly wanted to like it, but it just feels "eugh". Maybe I'm used to PC games but it just kinda feels weird, like sluggish. Lamp posts and letter boxes appearing right in front of my car, glitchy flickering shadows.

I went to the barbers and my character randomly stood up ontop of the chair and all the menus disappeared, I had to turn my xbox off and on.

Kinda disappointing really, but maybe it's just me. I haven't played a console game in years.

Hope the PC version is more enjoyable for me.

Already sold my PS3 version for only a fiver less than I paid for it, will now wait for the PC version.

I did the same with my xbox version, i completed the main story line and a few other bits and bobs and sold it for a very small loss.
I can wait for the pc version to do all the ****ing about.
