GTS SA Performance problems

No its not, especially when driving in MTA the frame limiter P***** me off as when you looked sideways you could see it being all stuttery, while when gone to sa-mp, it was smooth as silk.

25 fps perhaps is smooth for games like rts etc, but for fast driving games, it definatly isn't, while walking it was unnoticable though, but when driving : need about 35 min. to get it smooth.

Hmm willhub, have you disabled everything in nvidia/ccc panels, ie. set it to let app decide?

Also what ingame AA lvl are you on? Lvl 3 was buggy as hell for me it disappeared textures, killed framerates, etcetc, try aa lvl 2.

I tried Lvl2, still the stuttering, any dual core optimizer for intel CPU's like there is for AMD ones that make some games work better with dual core?

No as amd's fixes a bug intel's don't have iirc, you can try setting it to one core but I doubt it's that, since SA was out I was playing with HT on and last few months I've been playing it with a real dual core also without problems.

What happens when you try it on low settings, I mean, experiment a bit with ingame gfx options to see if something fixes it.

I thought you would have known to disable one of your cores. I got/get awful issues when using both cores, disable one, and it's instantly fine.

I've never disabled any cores before, I dont know how to.

Hmm what's it these days with dual core? Everywhere I go onto forums ppl say they have trouble with dual threads/cores, while I've been on hyper-threading for years and for dual core on months, and have yet to find a single game that stutters due to dual threads/cores, while I've played more different types of games than the average member around here ( points @ own xfire profile ).

Yep just like person above said, goto task manager, processes, select gtasa.exe, right click it and set affinity to 1 core.

Was even worse now, some placed my fps dips down to 20fps, its around 15 with 1 cpu.

Hmmm, background apps? AV? Some driver disliking SA?
Whats your cpu usage in SA with both and whats your cpu usage with a single core ingame?
Oh and what's your ram usage?

CPU usage with single core was around 50%, with dual core and high priority around 60%.

ram usage was well under 50%

Hmmm try it on xp, although I'm in vista x64 myself when playing SA, I'm on nvidia, might be ati's drivers acting up  ?
