Did you actually get it working in the Shuttle?

Worked for a while then would shut the system off when it was underload for a while. Even with the 400 watt shuttle psu which is currently the most powerful they offer afaik. :(

Google for "Distance Selling Regulations" - I think it's something to do with those.

AFAIK you can only return the ITEM unopened, you cant just fiddle about with it and then send it back within 7 days afaik .

Well its sold now anyway, gets posted to its new owner tomorrow. But by god ATI i will return

*shakes fist dramatically*

:D

Whilst you had it running did you notice any issues with noise? As i'm assuming there's a lack of space in a Shuttle and there could be heat problems.

Would give me a good idea on if it's a wise purchase for a Sugo (not much bigger than a Shuttle).

Ta. :)

Course they can, if the seals have all been broken :p

LOL, bit of sellotape here and there, hell if you're careful not to rip the seals you can just put them back on.

Or just say it arrived bashed up. :p

(If Gibbo sees us discussing this he's going to put foot-to-ass :o )

Well initially the card ran pretty loud, all testing i done was with the case off the system. late yesterday though i tried the on disc drivers, installed the full package that contained the drivers, ccc, hdmi audio driver etc. After that the card was deadly quiet. Was playing doom 3 for a bit and the fan never revved up at all, was getting worried thinking the cards fan was in 2d mode or something but apparently thats how quiet they can be.

Hmm a very interesting revelation...I've tried the CD drivers and still got the fan issue, is there any steps you took to sort it? , baffled here. :(

Makes me laugh how people expect to open box contents wrecking product seals, use card for a while thats works perfectly fine and then assume they can get refund or exhange. Think i might try that with my next motoring purchase and see how it goes. :p

Well then laugh away, because that's exactly what you can do under the distance selling regulations...

Basically, you've got 7 working days starting the day after the receipt of the goods to assess your purchase and decide if you need to return it. You don't need to give a reason if you decide to return it, but you need to have taken 'reasonable care' of the goods, and return as much of the original packaging as possible. It's a good idea to contact the retailer first though.

You can also have 'used' the goods, in the case of computer components, although understandably some items are exempt from return under DSR regs, eg undercrackers!! :D

Some online stores might not like the DSR regs very much, but it's the law, and if they want to do business mail order, then they have to live with it.

Incidentally, OCUK have been first rate in my experience when returning a couple of things over the years, they know you'll be back if they look after you!!
