GTX 1050 & MineCraft

My lad has my old Q8300 8Gb RAM machine with a GTX580 1.5Gb and it's running beautifully even though I've got texture and shaded mods installed on it, he's only got a 1680x1050 flat screen though which helps I'm sure, that said it runs everything I've tried on it perfectly well and in his words "owns the XBox one!" :D
Sounds good to me :)

I play modded minecraft a lot (Halfmad's fault) and the game is very heavy on RAM and CPU mostly. The latest versions of vanilla Minecraft are even more heavier on Ram than CPU due to the way all the assets are handled since v1.8 iirc. Going on topic you'll be more than fine with a 1050 GTX on either version by a mile. My R9 290 can barely handle modded minecraft too well and I average about 60-70fps, which is low compared to NV cards from what I've observed.

Must be 5 years since I played Minecraft with you and you STILL blame me lol

Actually may have been longer, my daughter is 7 now and she's the main Minecrafter around here :)

You used to play minecraft o.o???
Oh yes! I used to run MC servers for a good while for friends to play on but got bored. Then after a while Halfmad contacted me to try 'FTB MC', that I'd never heard of. Giving me a tour of his server base was like stepping into an alien world full of weird machines (applied energistics) and I soon learned how amazing modded MC was. I've played it on and off for a good number of years (currently playing infinity evolved modpack) ever since. There's just so much to do vs normal MC.

I only ever played it a few times but was on the very first wave of buyers. Was fun for sure but i never saw the huge time lure to it that many did.

Sorry to highjack the thread with my own question, thought it would be better than starting another one.

Is the ViveCraft mod compatible with Techit servers?
