Think im going to skip it, might just get a 1080ti when they arive
It's looking like I will be getting 1070, currently using my 6700K for graphics and really need a card.
Only thing matters how OC 1070@2000 (+/- 50) gonna fare compared to 980ti@1500 (+/- 50). Judging by Fire Strike results it flops magnificently.
While 980ti on Ebay starting to go ever so low as £360, it is becoming unreasonable to waste more than £350 on decent 1070.
As a 970 owner there's been a few recent games where it can't quite keep up, so yeah I'm interested in a 1070. Depends how much I can sell my 970 for and how much a decent 1070 is.
what games can't keep up?
At todays exchange rate plus VAT then the 1070 is approx. £311. If they come in at that price then they will sell very well compared to the 1080.
I'll be getting one as it stands. AMD have until the 10th to convince me otherwise. I'd love them to offer something better priced at sinilar performance.

Will probably get an FE (my case suits blower style) unless there's a confirmed ITX version worth waiting for, such as the Asus DirectCu Mini or Gigabyte ITX.
I don't think it's going to be half the price of the 1080. I'd wager it's going to be £400+ over here.
Lots. GTAV, Fallout 4, Arkham Knight, ARK Survival Evolved, Division, new Doom, Dying Light, Dark Souls 3, Dead Rising 3 ... all will drop below 60fps at times even at 1080p if you max them out on a 970, especially with the more demanding AA options.what games can't keep up?

They already confirmed £400 for the Founders Edition.
