Absolute lunacy. North of £400 for a VERY mid range card. Even some might say lower-middle.

If the "490" is £270 then a lot of people will be crying hard paying that money for this.

I'm not getting into the range debate, but it's faster than a Titan X. It's no slouch, come on now.

As someone else said, it's all AMD's fault for failing to compete. Remember the Titan X was around £1k, the only reason the 980Ti was as cheap as it was (with similar performance) was to head off the Fury X.

Right now they have no threat from AMD so they're pricing their new cards accordingly. If AMD launch something very competitive on price/performance then they'll drop prices accordingly. Never did this happen more so than with the GTX280 in 2008 where the price was pretty much halved after AMD disrupted their plans and caused a massive stink with those who'd paid the original price.

There are like almost no availability here in denmark. Like less than 20 samples across the 2 major sites.

But you have such hot viking women in Denmark, ample compensation for no 1070's, stop complaining man.
