900 for a single card in its self is taking the ****. but a card with as good/better performance as 680 sli setup,quieter and less power consuming then it don't look quite so bad.

for the record I'm not rich and one of these is about 3/4 of a months paycheck after tax lol.

I paid £530 for my last gen double GPU card (HD6990) , so why this is so much more is a mystery. What was the 590 new, no more than £600?

As prices are fluctuating wildly, now isn't the best time to compared but prices for two 680's beat a 690 and from some reviews, two 680s are doing better.

But hey, drivers etc, too many variable, I just wouldn't pay more for something I could get cheaper than works faster.

But like I said, things may change and everyones test bed system don't always have the same results.

Can see what gibbo is saying, and price does not really bother me as I have no intention of getting one, but I cant help thinking that close to 1k for a GPU is stupid, and thats coming from someone who is happy to spend on tech... I just wont buy one.. You will be looking at 1k for the hydrocopper though - which if it it ships with 8gb mem would be a monster card...
