tbh its simple marketing. Google and search engines don't look to see if shops have item in stock. The only look to see if they sell the item.
This increases traffic to the site. When person goes to the site only then do they realize that item is out of stock (even tho never had any in first place). Basicly = free advertisement

AWWWW I was hoping they come in the cool shipping crate. I miss them Ti4600 days when they were coming in cool cases and stuff lol

I'd completely forgotten about that... I wish more companies would do little quirks like that, especially for something like a £900 graphics card!
Haha, I remember getting an XFX card with all the exciting packaging and stories about something or another and how 'extreme graphics performance' saved the day.

Bet the card runs like a beast tho
It's actually green & LED backlit.
Apparently there's a tool in the works to control the LED too... so it might start pulsing with load or "breathing" etc... hehe
