I set auto fan with my current settings and temps reached 83c with a 56% fan before starting to throttle, it did throttle once at around 80c but then went back to 1.21v. However a leaving it a bit longer at around 84c the drivers crashed.
I believe this is one of the downfalls of software overclocking instead of flashing the bios - The power tables and throttling get a bit messed up so the drivers crash whereas when flashing the bios the power tables are all modified so the card throttles correctly with the correct voltage. At least that what I understand from reading a forum post on why Precision / Afterburner are not great at overclocking (Maxwell chips)
Using bios flash I expect I could keep the same setting and have a max fan speed of 65% without issue, temps will be a bit higher but should be fine or could overclock to maybe 1530mhz stable on 1.25v with my current fan settings temps reaching maybe 80c max
