GTX 980 Ti Pricing

The 980ti is still a good card if you don't have the money for a 1070 or 1080, epeen comes to mind sometimes and some of us don't have bag's of cash to spare.

It's more than good, it's fantastic ! If prices drop to £350 or below it's a great buy !

It's there or thereabout's with the 1070's and if you have one already like me it's a nice time to SLi :)

The dream. Would happily swap my 480 preorders and add the £50 too.

I keep delaying placing an order for the 480 due to there being no stock. But aye, would splash the 50 quid extra to pick up a Ti in a heart beat.

I would probably buy one in the morning if I work didn't come first so will miss the 9am reduction, fingers crossed they won't all sell out.

If your in to 'extreme benching' your not going to turn up with the second fastest card on the market now are you... as you point out the 980ti is firmly in second place in Firestrike Ultra benchmark with you beloved 980ti Kinpin coming in 22nd on the single card score...

So in these terms the 980ti is dead if your under air or water a 1070 or 1080 (if your talking Kingpin money) is a better buy. If you want to top the extreme benching leader board you need a Titan X (P) [yes I know you have some of these aswell!]

At £599.99 the 980ti Kingpin is now surpassed with a better alternative in almost any scenario

+1, 1070 and 1080's are much better buys.

Anyone with working brain would buy a 1070. 980ti. RIP.

No price mentioned here.

I did read the post you referred to

Other than to be somewhat pedantic and add - or a 1080GTX if you have circa £600 to spend or Titan XP if money is no issue and your perhaps into extreme benching

I fail to see your point? The 980ti has been surpassed and at current prices is uncompetitive...

There is nothing wrong with buying a 980 Ti at a good price.

There are also some of us who would say the entire NVidia range is overpriced yet people still buy their cards.

This^

980 Ti SLI is the logical and cheapest upgrade if your games support SLI.:)

Someone read what I posted! :)

We are pushing NVIDIA for more support to get the prices on all Maxwell back down to there they were in July, to clear the last lot out.

why do you need nvidia to support you to sell cards you already paid for at a lower price?

I assume the prices have risen because demand has risen so you increase the price to maximise profits, not slamming you for it as it is business 101.

I think it may be that Nvidia give them a certain amount of money to offset the price difference, unless I am mistaken.

Surely that is pretty easy to work out? We don't want to sell at a loss and as such to hits prices vastly below cost that needs support from NVIDIA or the board partner and as its a large scale issue, not just OcUK with stock then NVIDIA need to step in.

Were not here to lose money!
