However back in the day they said they where going to go episodic. They haven't even finished that yet! Where is episode 3?

They already make an assload on the steam platform. Though that steambox flop must have cost a bit.

What do Valve employees actually do? I know the hardware side will be doing something but the rest of them don't seem to do much. Are they all just working on DOTA and TF2 hats or something? They sure as hell don't do much in the way of curating their storefront anyway.

What exactly has Valve done in the last 10 years or so? A Greenlight were developers can showcase their talent or lack thereof and build a lot of servers to handle download traffic on Steam, a couple of half assed attempts at releasing a joypad (why?) and a gaming box and er, thats about it. Not exactly at the cutting edge of technology.

I wish Steam had never happened honestly we'd probably be on HL4 or 5 by now but instead Gabe's done little except sit on his fat arse and watch the monies tumble into Valve's bank accounts.

But with all those resources and a mountain range of money, you think they'd knock out the occasional game as well. Fact is that Valve are no longer a game development business, but they've not told anyone. They are a digital distribution platform, with the odd vanity hardware project, and that seems to be all they do. Valve are obviously happy with that, because that's all they've been doing for a long time now.

I don't even use Steam anymore because of what they've become. 30% cut on all sales, are you for real?
