I felt exactly the same way. Although in the great scheme of things I didn't lose much compared to some other people who got hacked it was still enough to make me almost want to give up. Luckily in my case my guild mates did give me bit of what I lost, and I was fairly close to a number of titles that I wanted.. so after a while not playing I slowly started. But even know I don't play as much as I used to.

I just reinstalled GW, only have 10 plat left and all my Greens, several gold good weapons scattered on each of my Character heros....I might have a play this weekend

I hope none of the rewards for GW2 aid gameplay. New skins, low level armour, vanity pets etc I don't have a problem with but I'm gonna be gutted if I don't have something someone else has because of a different game.

GW was always super balanced so I hope not. I sunk a LOT of time into the original, I'm rank 8 on my main account (and have a 2nd account mainly for PvE though I think it's rank 3). When at one point I'd put in enough time to be PvPing (and beating) top guilds in the world, I don't fancy going back and re-learning so I won't be getting any more than the 3 awards I already have.

ANet have gone on record, several times, stating that HoM rewards, whilst useful, will not offer z0mg!lol advantages.

John Hargrove: While the rewards are all exclusive to the Hall of Monuments, they will offer no long-term gameplay advantage over other items that players can acquire in-game through normal means.

Also, as long as GW1 is playable, you can go back and earn the rewards (canny marketing).

Typical that I would be at work when the pre-purchase starts at 8am. I start work at 7. :/ I doubt my phone will let me do it either, chances are I'll lose signal and out on a CE.

Edit: Bookmarked on my phone we'll see how it pans out.

Otherwise it'll be the DD version.

Just a note, that list isn't entirely accurate. TBH, it's a bit of a mess at the moment. Even this close to pre-purchase, there are still retailers who have no idea how this is going to work.

Its been abit funny lately, i get a weird random static pop sound every time i skip into a video, dunno whats up.

But the video is worth watching if you can, always nice to listen to a dev talk over some gameplay footage. I really have high hopes for this game now. :cool:

Nope.

I can load up an entirely different YouTube Video and it streams and plays instantly @ 13Mbit/Sec.

It's just YT being naff. Friend was at The gathering where you can pretty much get 1Gbit/sec to your system (interface limited) and YouTube still streamed like ass.
