Guild Wars 2

The game performance is vastly improved since last beta for me, although I've done a bit of a system upgrade so that probably explains some of it. Previous beta I was running a Q6600 3.0ghz, 4gb and a 285GTX and the game was unplayable even setting it down to the lowest graphics settings, was getting horrible FPS, especially when there was anymore than 3 or 4 other players around me.

This beta I'm running on an I7 @ 4.5ghz, 16gb, 285 GTX (Haven't upgraded GPU yet, lol, roll on next pay day for that shiny new 680) and with the settings on max I'm getting way over 60FPS and it runs silky smooth, even during events where there are people everywhere it might only drop as low as 45FPS.

Now that I've actually been able to play the game properly it seems pretty good, I love the way the skills change for different weapons, and also how dynamic the world feels. My only issue with the game is a slight feeling of clunkiness when it comes to the movement controls, and a strange bug where the camera viewpoint will spaz out every 5 mins or so and just instantly move to a random view all by itself.

Overall very impressed with the game though :)

Anyone know a good way of getting into a dugeon group? Curently have a level 15 ele on gandara looking to see what the dugeons are like as i didnt get to see them last time.

I really wish they would add more options for camera control. The sticky camera movement drives me insane, not really good whilst strafing. Also being spoilt by Tera's combat system makes it harder to come to terms with a targeting system.

Tera's combat system wears thin very very quick, it's a novelty. It's definately fun to begin with and a decent attempt at someting new (albiet allegedly stolen from Lineage III)

I like MMo's that allow you to zoom really far out, so I'd be happy with a more flexible camera also.

I've only had one crash in about 10 hours gameplay, which I don't think is bad (for BETA).

I have really enjoyed the Guardian this time around, really enjoyed using the Scepter + Focus, need to find a good secondary weapon set to go with it though. I wanted to play my Mesmer, but my Clones doing no damage with some sort of bug, it just wasn't enjoyable, since my spec is kind of a clone-farming spec. :p

Overall though, pretty pleased with the Beta. Made some decent changes, I'm still useless, and never use dodge, but I'll learn in time. :D

Wish I could get into Beta - played this at an exhibition last year and really enjoyed it - not gonna prepurchase just for a beta though.

Lucky you. I'm getting 30 fps on minimum :(

The game feels amazing at the moment. Love the combat but it does seem to lack variety. Playing engineer at the moment but I'll probably try something else to see if it has a bit more variety.

I'm a Tera gamer too but the ingame GW2 camera was driving me nuts. I agree really.

Im level 30, Loving my guardian with a two hand sword.

Anyone know how to get to ascalon catacombs.

I know where it is but cant find a route to it.

Also Tome of Wrath Master skill is so COOL

While they are still adding and changing features they aren't optimizing the game much so at the moment it's very cpu hungry. It will have a massive amount of optimization done to the game between now and launch from what I have read.
