Guild Wars 2

Performance isn't a problem for me, only had one CTD and that was probably due to constantly alt/tabbing out to talk in IRC. Anyway I've gotten to the stage now where I'm reluctant to pour more time into a character who'll be wiped at the end of beta, so I'll probably muck about a little tomorrow evening but my focus will be back on other things.

I don't really want to spoil any of the PvE content so im just doing some WvW and sPvP.

Normally I'm not one for pure casters, but I just tried Elementalist today and got him to level 13 and I have to say that it's quite enjoyable, but there some little things I would need to look into before going with on release. Such as being able to only having 1 weapon setup, is there any weapon that gives a good variety throughout the 4 elements, as it would suck to use a weapon setup that is good at something, but none of the elements cover a different type of ability.

I found dagger MH / scepter OH had a great variety of single target nukes, aoe, gap closers and defensive abilities.

Think I've nailed down my character class and story options. Gone for a female Elementalist, living on the streets. It just seems to give a better feel than the 'I'm somehow superior' feel of the noble and the 'I'm just a bit ordinary' feel of the commoner (although that would be the least objectionable of the two) whereas the streets one seems like it would toughen my character up a bit, yet seems to retain a bit of dignity in the way they are rather than becoming totally ghetto.

Loving the staff with Elementalist at the moment, kinda feel like there's a nice mix of single-target, AoE and support abilities. Although I did find pretty much all of the other combinations to have a fairly varied mix. The skill abilities seem quite cool too, the Glyph of Storms is quite fun, although I think I'd want to reserve just a single slot skill for extra damage and use the rest as support - and I think I'd prefer the conjure Greatsword for that.

Favorite so far has been warrior (upto 31) the only thing I dislike is that their elites are somewhat underwhelming. The elite banner is pretty cool, but it is an absolute certainty that when you place it, within 5 seconds some derp will pick it up and jump into a ravine.

Going to toy with guardian the next chance I get to see if I can get a feel for it, not expecting it to be as varied as warrior though.

Race wise for me it's a toss up between human and norn. Norn feel much slower but will also most likely exhibit tauren syndrome - that is, a giant character with awesome armor is especially awesome. :D

Still can't peel myself off the Mesmer to give another class a proper try. But it's a damn shame how WvW has been on desolation this time around - they really should have matched servers based on last BWE's results, then just threw all the new servers together.

Dev twitter seems to suggest they're holding out for these realms to pull some kind of switcharoo as more players level up on them -- but seriously if I was getting stomped as hard as the two servers desolation has been up against I'd be spamming the transfer button instead.

Warrior still my favourite which confuses me as I tend to hate melee classes, but it's lots of fun. I'm going to give another class a try though and most likely a caster :)

Just got my new, GTX670 installed and swapped out my old 6Gb of RAM for 12Gb so keen to give it a good testing. What world did most end up on? Desolation was it?

Loving the warrior, mainly play casters but really enjoying the warrior. I'm stuck now though as to roll a charr or Norn warr upon release - It's only cosmetic but it's a tough choice. :)

Really struggling to get into this, strange though as I loved the last beta weekend. It might be that I'm playing char which I can't stand now and engineer is rather boring. would have still had my human hunter if CJS hadn't screwed up.
