Guild Wars 2

Does anyone know if it is ok to buy this game from US Amazon store? I have a gift voucher on my account and would be able to get Guild Wars 2 for about 25 quid, just wanted to know if the key they send me would be ok for me to redeem ? Would it be US specific or anything?

Cheers.

It's region locked by IP, so you need to purchase the EU version.

I am the one of the guild leaders (well the one that really counts ..but don't tell Blounty that :p)

And we will get the name The Immortals on/in GW2, tho TBH, if we did not I would not mind all that much.

I've applied to your guild, with the name... Caskirensys :p

Cas you sorted now, LopyOrc I see you applied as well but have not verified your email address.

Which mini pets did you buy as I have around 8 and none seem to count (all mine I think are from game birthday gifts), I only have 5 hom points :(

I have the following:

Common Miniatures (18)
Uncommon Miniatures (7)
Rare Miniatures (4)
Unique Miniatures (1)

But I can't really say which are which. I know I have a Mini Bone Dragon Unique, but for the rest, it was a combination of birthday gifts from across all my characters and a few I bought (I wrote down all I had dedicated, and cross-referenced those with the guild wars wiki).

The ones above, once all combined, give me 6 points on that part of the HoM.

Hey wab, thought id put in a proper app after spending some time with yall on mumble in BE3. BE3 has definitely revitalised my excitement. Now to book some time off!

Great :D

Put in an app on the site, under the name Omen. Can't wait for this to launch - been following it for a couple of years and still play the first one from time to time.

Both you and gord sorted.

Most of them were from birthday gifts which I moved across characters (I have 8), I bought maybe 6 or 7 commons from other players for varying prices.

I also have quite a few toons tho have not moved any of my pets, dont suppose you know which ones are giving you the points :p

For a few years now I being thinking about changing, saw a post funny enough on Guild Wars 2 Guru site by another member of our guild, going on along the lines 'we were the first Immortals now there many but we let our enemies judge us'. That be the rub, when I created this guild (SWG) I never saw another immortal guild, first few started popping up around Everquest, and by the time LoTro/WaR/AoC came around Immortals named guilds were a dime a dozen.

Its why our website is now mmo-guild.co.uk instead on Immortals-guild.co.uk or Immortals-clan.co.uk (both which I own) that if we do rename the guild the web address stays the same.
We do still buy game specific web address i.e gw-mmo.co.uk or ps2-outfit.co.uk, but they all take you to www.mmo-guild.co.uk.

I look at renaming the guild more along the lines of a step in our growing rather than losing something.

 bet you wish you never asked now morning /rant off

Hah, Its cool! I don't mind The Immortals name :) Better than The Travellers that was mentioned earlier in the thread.

I've got around 2-5 friends that might join plus me :)

Well:

1 point for any mini
1 point for a rare (gold) mini (Shiro, for example)
1 point for a Unique (green) mini (Bone Dragon)
2 points for 20 minis (combined white, purple, gold and green)
1 point for 30 minis (combined white, purple, gold and green)

This site should help work out what you need/can get:

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Miniature

Price-wise, I found it was cheaper just to buy all the commons I didn't have, seeing as I already had at least 1 rare and 1 unique for their points.

And it sorta goes without saying that you can only have one of each mini on the display.

Yeah it's pretty rough. Unless you've been working on it since the HoM was announced, or have a dedicated group of people to play everyday it can be quite difficult to get some of the points. Especially as it gets harder the more points you have (as you usually get points just for putting one or two things into the monument, but then to get the next point you need like 10 of them, lol)

If you haven't done already, check out the Guild Wars Beyond storyline - it bridges the gap between the two games and it does give you a nice amount of money which should get you a couple of points.

Trying to work out if my system will be able to handle this but struggling to work it out as I'm a little out of date on how things compare. My system;

AMD 7850 2.8GHz
4GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
