Guild Wars 2

I don't understand the hoohaa over graphics anyway.

They are good, as good as if not better than most other MMO's out there and lets face it you will never have an MMO breaking the bar in graphical terms as they out to appeal to a massively wide audience not all of whom will have top end machines.

Or are we talking performance? :p even then performance was good with little to no issues.

The problem with judging performance is bwe 1 & 2 were cpu bound, and the final event a announcement before it went live said cpu/gpu overclocks results in lower performance, so it's hard to tell what it will be like on release. It would be bizarre if overclocking resulted in lower fps on release considering most people overclock or even buy hardware, systems with OC's on them. There was a similar post on the official forums and a Dev replied saying release will give significant gains for some but very little for others, I'm hoping he means more powerful systems have big gains.

Very good video explaining combo fields and finishers and how they work and what to look out for. Helped me a lot to understand the concept.

That pretty much cleared things up for me with the combat. I didnt really understand the combo stuff while playing the beta, now i do. ;)

Really looking forward to this game as it will be my first MMO! Should I join a guild/clan straight away ? Or is it recommended to go solo for a bit.

I would join one from day one if I was you adds massively to the fun of the game, and you tend to build early relations with people you find you will play day in day out with, and thats what makes MMO, well for me anyway.

Sweet, will get on it! Just out of curiosity, how many players will there be on a single server that I join?

This really. While you can of course have fun going solo for a while, I've always found that being Guildless can make you feel a little isolated in the world. Just having people there adds a kind of connection to the rest of the game so it doesn't seem like it's just you playing (especially at times when you might be the only person in the area).

And of course, you build relationships earlier and as such group content is a little more accessible. As well as help, and banter. :)
