Guild Wars 2

I agree, whilst I don't go as far back as Ultima i twas the first time since my first playthrough of vanilla wow that I have levelled and been so engrossed and enjoying myself that I have ignored the expereince bar and a level up comes as a shock/surprise rather than something I have been hammering toward.

edit: After BWE3 did people need to download a whole new client for the stress tests? I booted it up to update for tonight and either there have been some blinking huge patches since BWE3 or it is a new client download again, 17000 files

Sorry for self quoting but the computer crashed during download and I now have 220k files to download, thats a full download :p

I never said they were all no lifers, just a lot.

Yeah I agree with the gear bit 100%m I remember times when it took me 6 months to get one piece of gear, where I can now get 6 full sets in 6 weeks.

Your point and sins are totally different where your is about skill sins was just about time spent playing.

even tho I see he tried to change what he said :D

Basically you are a bitter old man.

I've seen how you carried yourself in SWTOR and am gladly placing you firmly on ignore to avoid your inane bs.

Each race starts in their own area, all races then converge in the same place around level 30.

I've played the beta since the very start and can get level 30 within 3 days fairly easily (playing 6+ hours a day). As the leveling pace flattens out around level 30 I would expect it take upwards of 10 days or 60 hours to get level 80.

Thats assuming you know where to go and what to do. I'm sure there will be people hitting level 80 within 5 days or a week though.

thanks thats plenty of content for me as i only manage about an hour or 2 a day atm!

so the cap is 80? big number! cant wait!

I take issue with you because, as said, I have little tolerance for incompetence and BS.

Nothing to do with me being a casual has been.

It was not complete BS at all though, and you have no evidence it was complete BS either. People were having FPS slowdowns I posted a possible few settings changes that more then doubled my FPS which I got from the official support forums, as well as helped someone else in this thread with their issues and you think that isn't worth posting?

Frankly you talk to people looking down your nose, your obnoxious and come across poorly in pretty much every post I see of yours. Yet you have the nerve to call someone else bitter?

Where I'm from offering a possible solution to some people's problems even if it helps 10% is worth it. Learn some manners.

Its funny all he posted about mmo were BS and he says he cant stand BS ..lol

I am exactly the same, and my time will be getting shorter aswell (becoming a Dad) but I have always said that I will always try, even if its late/early in the morning to get a couple of hours me time playing games

(Wishful thinking but will give it ago)

10% AKA so insignificant you are addressing a completely different issue. 10% easily covers the idiots who do not do fresh driver installs or could not configure a toaster.

Generic problem, generic fixes aimed at specific problems as supposed fixes - Total BS.

Wow you really do have a few issues don't you, what your mom not hug you enough?

Yeh because there's loads of people posting on OcUK who don't know how to check a box built into the nVidia installer that says "Perform a clean installation".

The problem is specific "my fps is low on high end nVidia card which shouldnt run this slow" and the solution is specific as in it's changing a couple of specific settings that are not set to those values by default. Your spouting complete rubbish.

It helped someone it was a job well done, why would I regret posting something that helped someone?

Also why would you feel the need to bash someone for posting some helpful settings that helped them?

Because you sir are a 'bitter old man'.

Wooooooah... easy with the attitude fella... No need to be quiet so aggressive and rude to people. Sheesh

You did not post helpful information.

You posted generic information that is not backed up by a SINGLE article, post or otherwise online that would indicate a specific issue with nVidia cards.

Remember, you are the one who posted "Ignore anything about performance by 6xx users" yet have not even been able to show there was even a specific problem addressed with a specific fix. Why? Because it does not exist.

You sucked up some generic fix by some customer service representative that they copied and pasted and lucked out that it resolved a generic performance issue.

I heard people are fixing fps slowdowns on nvidia cards by going into nvidia control panel and changing:

3D settings -> Adjust image settings with preview - Changing the slider to balanced (the middle notch) and turning off 'Let the 3D application decide'.

3D settings -> Manage 3D settings -> Anti-aliasing mode - Change this to 'Application controlled'

Also apparently the current nvidia drivers have an issue effecting GW2 so go here http://www.geforce.com/drivers/beta-legacy and get the latest 304.79 drivers and do a clean install of them by clicking advanced install options during install and checking 'clean install' box. Hope it helps! :)

Thanks for this, this worked :D deffo pre-ordering now.

Would I be able to join this Immortals guild when the game releases? Do I need to apply?

It was helpful.

They were fixes posted by arenanet devs during BWE3 they were stickied to the top of the official support forum. I couldn't care less if you believe me or not.

Which list is this? Is this the new one or the one from the last BWE? I don't think it's a complete list tbh, unless they included the fact that most 4GB GTX 680 cards don't seem compatible with the game (some weird vRAM reading error). I'd be interested to know if there's anyone around with a GTX 680 4GB version able to load the game at all. It's certainly a known issue for support, and I will be reposting it when the beta forums open.

(Just checked the beta forums... nope, the issue is not listed there, yet a quick googling reveals many others having this issue...)

there that backs him up, two post. (edited to show correct amount of posts)

I think where Lineage 2 went wrong they did not have any other way to level other than grind, if a Lineage 3 came out id be all over that!

But as for Guild wars 2 i canne wait :D:D:D have pre-orderd it from tesco online, just hope its here for release.

there that backs him up, one post from a thread 6 pages long.

I being purely neutral here but, I think people should post links when saying all this info is coming from somewhere, so far it's all heresay and arguments and nobody has been able to back it up.
By the way do you mean this thread? Because it has only 2 posts but an exact quote for quote copy.
