Guild Wars 2

Ahhh Daoc, how I miss thee.

I could imagine you liking this Tomb.

Another good test just really wish I could decide on a class.

Warrior - no, just not for me.
Necro - not for me.
Mesmer - I want to like it but I just cannot get into the class at all, will pass.
Engi - wanted to play from day one but I just didn't enjoy it that much in beta, not sure why.
Guardian - not for me.
Ele - I liked this class the most from a play style perspective but it wasn't masses of fun at times.
Ranger - didn't try. Any good?
Thief - I quite liked it but the melee on this game I'm not a huge fan of for some reason. On big bosses it can get lost.

So yeah not sure what to play :p

I avoided playing most of the classes as I want something to find out at launch, Warrior is where I'll be going initially though as I liked the style even if I wish the mechanics were more like DAOC -melee classes especially with shield.

Based on some of your comments I'd say the only one you haven't tried(Ranger) could actually be the one you would enjoy the most. :)

I've decided to go Ranger but couldn't decide between Warrior, Elementalist and Ranger for a long time. In the end I decided the Ranger was the most versatile and had the best survivorbility, plus the variety of pets in the game really appeals to me.

Last night was the first time I've been around to get a taste of GW2 and I was impressed to say the least. Ran super smooth for me, no queues or long login times. I liked the bond that character creation gives, although a bit more backstory choice would be cool. My first introduction to the task/quest/event system left me playing for hours without even noticing my XP or even the items I was picking up! Just exploring and joining in all the group events made it feel quite immersive.

I'm too tired to keep going so im off to bed, whilst I'm still loving the game still cant pick a bloody class :p:mad::p

In the same boat!

My main on WoW is a shaman so naturally i want to be a elementalist. I tried Sylvari Elementalist but I'm just unsure on the race now.

I may just be boring and end up playing a Norn Warrior! :p

Played a few hours of the stress test last night, was totally lag free, although I do seem to be getting a lot of CTD's at the moment. Think that may just be a conflict with dxtory/xsplit and not the game though.

Also getting loads of graphical glitches where entire chunks of the environment just vanish, changing camera angle fixes it sometimes but its highly annoying specially when attempting the huge jump puzzle in metrica province.

Played for about an hour last night and it ran really well on my PC, was expecting horrible FPS but for the most part it was really smooth, even in big boss battles only dipped to about 30fps.

It is my first ever MMO however and not really sure what to do, I was kinda following a group of people completing what seemed like a co op story? Am I playing it right?

Thinking I need to join a guild that is friendly to newcomers!

As long as your having fun, it doesn't matter what your doing :)

Go out, explore enjoy the story. Things will soon come together and make sense.

Yep what madmossy says, just do what you want just get swept up in the adventure.
But it is a good idea about joining a clan, look into immortals ask wab:)

Had my first beta experience last night. The game ran surprisingly well on my xps laptop. It was set to medium and I got no slow down, even in massive battles. May even be able to ramp the gfx up a bit.

Rolled mesmer. Seemed quite fun, don't really know what I'm doing, haha.
