Guild Wars 2

Ive been playing theif in betas and find it unsual... Combat feels very difficult maybe its the strategy that I am not use to. However very fun and rewarding shadow step is addictive
 
Thieves are just plain annoying. You down them and then it's a matter of running about trying to work out where they'll appear so you can finish them off. It's quite a fun dynamic, to be honest, and I'll certainly be trying the Thief out (either at launch or if there's another stress test) as they look pretty fun.

I'm set on a Guardian main now. They're tough as nails, great support, and wicked damage.
 
Yeah the Thief got some nerfs during the betas which sorta reduced the power of some of the builds.

Like "Leaping death blossom" now costs more initiative and they totally screwed with the 8k crits you could put out with signets.

Still a great class to play though and i'll be rolling one eventually.
 
Guardian I think, but I've not played or looked at many gameplay vids... might be doing some chopping and changing to begin with..
 
Slightly off topic but I want to buy an SSD for when GW2 arrives. Currently CPU GPU and RAM are all around 7.5 WEI and HDD is at 5.9 will I see a big performace jump ??

any suggestions ? Iam eyeing a Samsung 830 256gig for £129

I have an SSD and I don't really see that much difference in loading times, granted some of that could be because of the extra load on the servers, but I'm skeptical. Maybe 1 second quicker, tops?
 
Going with a norn thief! After someone posted a video of a thief it got me interested. Tried the thief during a stress test and loved it! Totally changed my mind from the warrior. Said before but the limited weapon pool on the thief is the only let down for me, they should have axes imo.
 
On LoTRO putting the game on an SSD cut my loading screens by 15secs or so from my mechanical HD. So made a big difference to me for that game. So I would assume it would have a similar impact for GW2

with my raid-0 ssds I get over 1000mb/s and the screen flashes with the loading picture quickly then flashes with it again then the whole thing is loaded in a matter of 2 seconds.

On my single one the screen flash up in seconds if anyone is getting load times same or close to a normal hard drive they got some other problems.
