Which SSD and size and operating system you got?

Will make a difference if your motherboard is sata 6 compatable as to whether you are getting the best speeds from your SSD

I'm torn between asura thief or engineer, both classes look fun.

I can't decide at all. Usually I would play a melee dps class like the warrior. But then I am also very much drawn to the thief and the necro.

Decisions decisions...

I might just go engineer because it's a bit quirky and doesn't fit the usual stereotypes in this type of fantasy setting.

Asus M4A78LT-M
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 GHz,
4Gb DDR 3 RAM
AMD HD 7970 3GB
Crucial M4 128GB SSD
Windows 7 Premium 64-bit

Looks like Sata 2 (3.0Gb/s). Still, I should still see a marked improvement over my old 7200.10 Barracuda which was at the end of it's life, lol. (There is of course an improvement, but minute) Windows boots up nice and speedy, I just don't see the improvement in GW2.

Overclocked my CPU for the first time in years today (q9550 2.83 --> 3.4) so hopefully that should give me a good boost in game

thats why i have decided upon it its different and its genuily a good fun class.

I'm going Guardian primary and likely a Mesmer alt.

I liked all the classes but those 2 stuck, enjoyed Paragon in the first game.
