Guild Wars 2

Thought you signed you to us today/Yesterday  and the drama is only ever in this forum as things can it seems never be let go.

Yes, I did.. and will probably join at some point, but for the first few days, until I find my feet, and because there really is too much bickering going on, I'm just going to run against this wall over here a few times ----> *thud*

Sounds like a good idea to me Ceryndrion...

As I haven't looked into this much, and as I have for some stupid reason pre-purchased, is there anywhere I can find an in depth look at races/classes? The GW2 website isn't really telling me as much as I would like so I'm a bit clueless as to what i'll be picking tomorrow.

Guild wars 2 wiki is pretty good.

I had a forum post from another forum that had a great write up on everything about GW2 and I can't find the link >.<

Someone posted this yesterday, I bookmarked it, was a good read and has everything you need!

Enjoy :)

I was about to say the wiki too. TBH the wiki is lacking right now. However when the game is a few weeks in expect the wiki to be the best source of information on anything in game.

GW1 wiki was 3rd party until Arenanet saw how good it was so created the official one.

Had such a good laugh last night, did sPVP for the first 30 minutes then created a Charr Engineer, did the tutorial bit and the seconds after starting the main game a dynamic event triggered, that event went for the best part of 30 minutes and chained into 3 other events.

By the time I was done I was level 4 and having a blast.. Literally :)

I do have one issue with this game. I see myself buying a lot of stuff from the in game store :(

I saw the Primeval armour there. Will be something I will be purchasing.

Getting all my weekend jobs done today. Should keep the missus off my back until she goes back to work next week.
Although she will give me stick if I get up for 5am "just to play a silly game"

I'd just like to add, don't let bickering on here put you off. On the guild forum and on mumble everyone is really friendly. Don't feel under pressure to start doing guild stuff straight away. I'm just going to go on Mumble and have a chat with people while I learn the game on my own I think.

I finally bought 2 copies from Anet, linked them to accounts, all downloaded on 2 PCs and ready to roll ! (thanks to the user who told me to l2read ! I mean it. :) )

We (me&wife) might create a new guild on Desolation. We had a guild in GW1 that ran nicely for about 2 years (until we quit the game), cleared everything on multimple caracters, made lots of friends, had good fun.
I'm aiming to have a relaxed guild, matured people (>25s), multicultural (we speak 4 languages), keep drama to minimum while exploring everything the game has to offer. I've played so many MMOs for so many years and frankly I got fed up with spoiled kids, know-it-all demi-gods and "impressionists"; so no place for those.
I'm putting this here as a different choice: if someone feels they're guild wars newbs, older and/or not wanting to rush it, you're welcome to join, who knows... :)
Gonna decide a name after consulting the chief tonight...

*hopefully you like sarcasm too

Is this really £50 for the digital download? Suppose its because its essebtially free after that?

Yes, if you don't want to pay wait for a retail edition which I guess will be cheaper. Various offers appear on a uk deals website every so often.

Personally I don't mind giving them some extra money as I loved GW1 and would imagine will love GW2 more. They earned it and I wanted my money to go direct to them rather than though middlemen.
