Your CPU is probably holding the card back. I've got an i5 2500k OC'ed to 4.5, with a 6870, and it's running max on everything but shadows with a very, very solid and steady 60fps

Not sure... Just playing the elemental class, stared with thief, not what I expected at all, no stealth involved. Then Necro, not sure.

Elly is the only one I like so far. But is it me or is it really rushed? The training area, not got a clue on what to do. So, I am just going round to those 4 hearts in the starting areas. But I find that mobs are all of a sudden a few levels higher than me and I am getting my butt handed to me...

Don't know, just don't feel guided at all! No idea what I am doing.

The sheer inability for me and the missus to actually play in the same instance is getting right on my wick. The Join In option seems to have vanished from our options, even when it showed it didnt seem to work, she is in one overflow, I am in another and there seems to be no way for us to get to the same one. We are in the same one in the city, but the moment we step outside it splits us into different overflows, which is frankly ludicrous. As we are partied together it should maintain that party and move the party to the same overflow, not divide the partymembers up. Driving me mad and is HUGELY putting her off the game, its her first MMO and she is stunned that its so hard for people to play together, which isnt the kind of impression I was hoping she was going to get.

That's what I think, 53% GPU usage ... must be a big bottleneck. Also on PCI-E 1.1 or something xD x16 tho but still quite low for this card. It's playable at 30 so not that bothered, great game loving the Thief with dual pistols jumping about.

Yep agreed the party system feels like a shambles at the moment.

My connection is 67mb/12mb with BT infinity I dont normally experience any d/l issues.

Have just shut my machine down, will finish the download in the morning.

Download had gone up to 700k from 400k though lol

Does the name you choose apply to all servers. So if I have name X on server 1, it cant be taken on server 2

That sounds like a serious issue, but one in which the solution doesn't work rather than simply hasn't been implemented - I would hope that being in a party is supposed to move the entire group to the same overflow server but just doesn't work properly, rather than being an absent feature altogether. It's a real shame that it's having such a negative effect on your missus' first time, hope it gets sorted out for your sake and hers.

just finished my first 19hr run on the game with all the issues im still a low level but defo enjoying the game

Biggest disappointment from them is the whole overflow server and being in groups and ending up on dif servers. Surely they could make it that the whole group is kept together while zoning?!

bar that issue so far so good, roll on tomorrows 20hr session

FPS with rig in sig was around 40 - 90fps depending on zone but either way ran as smooth as a baby's bum except there server lagging here and there lol

i hope they have a big patch coming soon im hoping before official launch but i highly doubt it

Another one getting annoyed with the inability to party up properly here. I'm sure it'll calm down in a few days and we'll be able to play together once the overflow servers aren't in use as much and not everyone's in the same zones. Aso crashed 3 times so far, I've been playing for about 10 hours maybe but still, shouldn't be crashing at all, I have a decent machine.

We have a guild on Gunnar's Hold, just shout me in game if you want an invite, I'm called Meepsy on my war (main so far). Guilds are still a bit broken so it's only me that can invite so far, I'll be promoting so more can invite asap.

I'll be crawling into bed in a mo. Woke up at 4.40 yesterday so about 20hrs. Logged in at 5:01 but had some issues around 6-7am and then the same issues everyone had in the afternoon.

Fairly happy with the launch... those problems in the afternoon were annoying but that's just the way things go. As others have said - the overflow/party thing is a nightmare and I'm sure they had that sorted in the betas/stress test so maybe it's just failing under load. The join option did actually work a massive one time for me but as soon as I loaded into the same version of the zone as my friend it put be back in overflow

Hopefully the trading post will be up tomorrow and everyone can flood the market with all the stuff they've been hoarding

I eventually went with Human mesmer, up to level 19 now and just been doing all the various zone objectives + events. Doesn't seem too forced but I'm planning on stopping at 20 and trying another class then I'll see which one I want to take to max level first

Agreed, but if you're introducing someone to an MMO, don't pick release day.

Howdy all,

Managed a few hours after the boozer tonight. Probably not the best way to play but good fun anyway. Initial impressions.....mmm not sure. Having gone WoW, Rift, SWTOR and now this I'm not convinced yet. Level 8 I think and in the Norn Capital. Crafting has me completely confused?? Think I wondered round Hoebrook? for an hour with no idea what was going on. I'll try again tomoz, a wee bit more sober and see what I think.
