Guild Wars 2

Stuck on my damn class quest for level 28 atm, i'm an elementalist and it makes me use a sword through the whole thing for no apparent reason and i just get my ass handed to me at the end boss and his cronies. It's either going to have a stonker of a reward or some dev has a sick sense of humour :p

Ok now you've just confirmed you're trolling. This will be my last response to you. Perhaps if you'd added the next few words of my post?

Do I need to explain the word or to you?

You told me you didn't say exploit, I was just pointing out that you did say exploit. No need to get so butthurt.

I haven't had a chance to play it as much as I would have like over the weekend but I'm having fun.

Rolled a Warrior and was bored to tears by level 9 so I rolled a Thief and I'm having a lot more fun (level 11). I'm actually have to work for my kills and it is quite difficult but still fun. I am pretty worried about how I'll fair in PVP due to the squishyness of a thief.

I haven't bought any skills yet (I know I should), have a quick question about it. Do you earn enough skill points throughout the game to buy all the skills? Or is there a way of resetting them?

Skill points you won't need to reset as you get way more than you need. Trait points can be reset at any time for free in the mists, but that version of your traits is seperate from the rest of the game. The traits you use in open world and WvWvW need to be rest with ingame money i think, no idea where.

So far I find the game ok, but its not really keeping me playing. I play for an hour and then am bored and do something else. I've got a few classes to 5 now and my Guardian is 15. I like my Thief too, seems fun although for pvp it will be a bit squishy for keep battles I think.

Buy a cheap sword, use all of the skills. Learn them, job done :)

Or does it replace your skills? lol

are u level 80 already? how do u know there is no end game content?

and even if there is not, so what? 9/10 games u play dont have any end game content after u completed ever side mission/main mission etc.

Can u please explain to me why end game content is soo important in a MMO please?

Did WOW have lots of end game content at launch?

Lol, just lol.

Lol, just lol.

Why lol? He asked a very important question.

MMO's are mainly revolved around end game content. You level up, play the solo stuff on the way then you join with fellow MMO players to defeat 'end game content', such as bosses, giving you better armor to then take on further bosses. Basically, this is end game content. A whole different game after getting to the max level.

I am on a low pop server and we are getting stuffed in the WvWvW battlegrounds due to being outnumbered. With this in mind, is it worth staying on low pop ones if you intend pvping, do you think they will do something to sort the balance out?

the wvwvw will in theory be evenly matched, the initial couple of weeks is working out how good your world is in order to get the matching so getting stuffed now should mean that you'll be against other that are also getting stuffed

Have you completely misunderstood his tone and intent with that question? He's essentially adopting the stance that end-game content isn't/shouldn't be so important. It's the entire raison of an MMO game. The leveling content forms a nice little journey but 99% of people are about the end-game destination.

GW2 is a bit different though, most MMOs focus on endgame and the rest of the game is just learning the game so that you can function in end-game. GW2 seems to be more focused on the whole game as a complete package. The end game is basically the same as the rest of the game. Think of it like single player RPGs where you play the game for the sake of playing the game, not grinding to max level then spamming the same thing over and over.

Not that there won't be any kind of end game, there's dungeons and things that can only be accessed at max level, but it's designed to be pretty consistent all through. That's why you get levelled down if you're above the level of an area, its designed so that you can still play the areas normally instead of 1 hitting everything for the sake of completion.
