Please, don't get me wrong, GW2 is amazing, the devs have done a FANTASTIC job with this. Really good game and thoroughly rec it to anyone looking for a new MMO.

Well the traits you get every level have a pretty big impact on how your class works as theres a surprising amount of tweaking and experimenting that you can do there.
 
Did anyone here pick up their GW2 from a supermarket (or Game, PC World etc) and if so can you tell me how much it was?

I for one am bored of how WoW, DAOC, Rift, SWTOR and countless other MMOs have done it for years. I disagree somewhat as the traits etc can add a lot to the class and you can chop and change them regularly without having to pay for a respect just to alter one trait etc.

My highest character is level 20, I don't feel like I've seen enough yet with him to say it's dull, it's not. I think perhaps your 5x level 15s have bored you silly though, I know I couldn't have spent that long on it since launch without being a tad worn out and needing a break! :D
 
Level 40, picked up the karma gear and i'm now critting 2-3k.

Tried getting in ascalon catacombs and the lag and network errors made it unbearable for me
 
Worth following @guildwars2 on Twitter,they have mentioned the emails and investigating,and addressing the lag issue etc, cant paste it on here as im using my phone.

They want players to send dish reports or something

Lol rogue was just getting to reply - it's good. I'm still undecided about the combat but I like the clear map objectives and that gives me more than enough todo. I also like the way a quest will develop and progress.

But yes you won't be unhappy with your purchase.

got mine from a huge asda, everywhere else either sold it or didnt have it delivered to store yet. cost me either 38 or 39 quid. great game, shame about the lag and network errors though

Think its :rolleyes: pretty obvious I mean keeps we took that was/were being defended, but then I read back!

Yes we have taken others ( today for the first time in fact) that were empty but the 6 I mention were all fought for 4/5 against Gandara think 1 or 2 against FoW.

You got to be seriously joking this game has had one of the best launchers ever, and games like TsW hardly count with 50k users.

I have being in almost every MMO launch in the last 10 years so I know.

And this is not to say the game does not have issues, but seriously this launch has being pretty damn good.

Just did the first dungeon with some friends, not sure what to think. It would be hell to pug though thats for sure.

no other guilds bother with the claiming bit from what i can see.

you could go and claim stonemist right now wab , oh wait we dont own it XD


the launch is pretty fail.

  1. no trading market apart from for about 2 hours in total and then it wouldnt work for most people during that time.
  2. personal mail is currently disabled.
  3. server is laggy as hell a lot of the time.
  4. login servers generally cant cope.
  5. guild chat can often be lagged out (i had over a minute delay earlier in guild chat even though the other chats were fine)
  6. theres been a bug where you cant get into the same dungeon instance as your group
  7. sometimes you can login and the game will tell you your not in a guild

the actual gameplay is pretty good & apparently these issues are only happening for euro-peon players.

btw i converted 30k karma into 1200 gems earlier :D (yay for gems being only 0.36silver each)
