Guild Wars 2

Even more so in GW2, I've been happily exploring and questing in my own time. So much more fun and less tiring.

this really there is no real reason to put so much effort to get and do gw2 "end game" it's not quite the same as something like wow , I'm treating gw2 more like singleplayer/coop game than a mmo and taking my time to take it all in

I was just reading up on this game and thought what the hell I'l give it a shot. No where has it in stock though or those that do have it at like 50quid + so sod that.

Will wait for more copies to be released

Edit: Zavvi have some hard copies might buy one :p

They also have the CE in stock still if anyone wants one of those btw.... 129.99 tho !

Edit 2: ok Zavvi do not have any normal hard copies :( just the CE lawl

A huge amount of people paid £50 for it (i got 2x), it's pretty much the expected price. It's not like other MMOs where you pay £34.99 and then £9/month. These 50 quid are one off !

Going to start working towards 100% world completion now I think, then maybe take up a craft or 2. Not even had chance to PvP yet.

What's the deal with PVP gear? I won a chest in PVP and got some weapons, but how do I look awesome and get good PVP gear?

Stone of Transmutation is one way:

Can combine the looks of any item with the stats of another.

If you mean the small-group pvp gear though, I dunno how that works, I've only tried PvE and WvWvW so far.

When do you get to do small Pvp battles? is there a level requirement and how do I accesss this. I have only tried WvW

You can do it from level 2 (i.e. as soon as the intro is over).

Press "H", click the crossed swords icon, and choose 'enter the mists'.

You get boosted to 80 instantly, all skills unlocked, all trait points unlocked (I think) and there are vendors selling all types of gear and weapons for 0 cost.

when you return to PvE land, you return to normal but AFAIK your PvP setups are retained for when you go back.

Press "H" to open up your Hero window, down the left side you have bunch of options to select from traits, story etc..

Click the bottom one with the crossed swords and then click go the the mists.

Once there you will be leveled to 80 and get to choose any weapons, armour, sigils etc you want.

The single player PvP browser is in that zone too, just walk up to the dude and select a game from the list.

God Damit, work getting in the way of forum browsing.

Anyone know if Leatherworking or Huntsman need much in the way of cloth? If not I can happily send my jute to guildies. I'd check the wiki, but it's blocked from here.

Leatheworking needs jute, I am always short on it so if I was you I would keep it all to yourself (or send it to me :D)

Personally I found that an outrageous sum of money. I bought mine for £27 something from Tesco but that was a preorder deal :)

If I didn't have it now i'd pop into Game or the local Tesco superstore for a copy. As you say this game has no monthly sub and will be worth the money :)
