Finally got past the dreaded 75 mark on leatherworking last night, and moved on to the Seraph starter zone, at level 34 :P Noticed something though, I couldn't put a jewel into my chest armour, any ideas why?
 
bit stuck at the moment. I joined Desolation but the name Wordy was taken:mad: so I'm looking to find a server that hasn't got it used. so in the process of skipping round server looking for it:(

Don't suppose anyone could try on their servers to create a guy called Wordy for me please and let me know if the name is available?

Want to keep the name as I've been using it since my Neocron days.

You can't use it at all, it's not like other MMO's where you can have the same name on every server. It is server wide, so once someone has used the name it's taken and you'll have to use something else.

The name goes accross all servers so you wont get that name

Is the armour the right level? Because it needs to be higher then the gem level, eg if the gem is 30 the armour needs to be 30+
 
Yeah, I wasn't quick enough to get Mockingbird.

One thing to bear in mind - you can have spaces and multiple words in names.

Therefore my ranger is called "Ferala Mockingbird" and my future characters will also be using the "mockingbird" family name with other first names :D

Ohh, that could be it. I know it was an upgraded Gem and I don't think the armour was hugely high level. Guess it stops twinking?

I had to do the same thing with Aesir, so all my characters are something Aesir.

It's annoying though as I have a list of names I've been using in MMOs for years and every single one was taken, which has never happened before.

Yeah but once the guest system is up and running, you'll be able to go onto other servers so server wide names are needed.

Just use a surname - thats what I did.

Not sure but last night I was getting lines along the floor textures in AC. Only place I have seen them.

I know it wasn't my card as my fellow guild mate was also getting them. We both have the same card MSI 7970 Lightning. Guess it is a driver thing.

Just to add to that; if a name is taken in GW1 it's also taken in GW2. Supposedly they might free up some of those names from the first game but it was a silly move doing it in the first place.
