And this is the first MMO I've looked forward to since Age of Conan but I didn't get into it at all.
 
Nicely done. Congrats on the 50. I got to 45/50 and couldn't be bothered to grind the last 5 points. :o
 
This game cannot come soon enough. I've got roughly 8 months before I have to crack on with my final year at university, dissertation and all, I can't afford to play this when I have that to do, god knows I'll spend way too much time on it and fail my course miserably.

42/50 for me. I can't be bothered to go buy Obsidian Armour. I can't be bothered to finish off the Zaishen Title Track. And the weapon displaying is just pointless so I can't be bothered to get hold of another 12 weapons.
 
I still need the fugly armour and about 100 Z keys for 50/50. Think I only need survivor for a GWAMM too - I'm just too burnt out to bother as yet.

Oh, lots more alcomohol too :/

If you read GW2 twitter account they say more news on the beta applications will be becoming soon. I'm guessing toward the end of this week-middle of next week then the beta can commence the second week in March as speculated.

More and more things are ****ing me off about this house move, i was SUPPOSED to move on the first weekend of march, but the idiots in charge of it all moved it back a week, which is costing me £215 + possible missing the first beta weekend (should i get an invite) now

Noooo, no, NO. Needs to be END of March, I've got ME3 2nd week of March. At least give me a week of solid ME play time!
 
I've been sat on about 97% for all the maps for years... just can't be bothered scraping. Such a waste of time.
 
Ohhh dear, sucks to be you. I put speculated as I'm almost certain it has been confirmed somwhere but I couldn't find the source. I may be wrong but something is bugging in my head that it has been confrimed as the 9th March.

EDIT: Definitely hasn't been confirmed, just saw this on twitter, posted 11 mins ago

Hi folks, just to confirm, the sign ups last week are for a chance at the next (end of march) and following beta events for #GuildWars2 ~AT

So there we have it, first public closed beta at the end of March (guessing 30th)!

Depending on how well the beta goes, what do you think the lead time is for launch? 2-3 months after?
 
Diablo 3 aint got a release date, it just keeps getting delayed.

I wouldn't mind if it did, either way i'll be playing them both.

I'd stick my money on the end of June. Form the press footage the game looks really polished for it being in beta phase, never mind closed beta. A lot of the press playign have said the same. Don't think it will take too long until launch. They have also commented that there are hardly any bugs they came across, although they did only get access to level 30. Also another reason to add to that prediction is this photo from the Arena Net offices:

As far as the next beta goes, they've said they are testing stress on their servers. So I'm expecting quite a lot to be invited. Trade off of that is that it will be almost definitely laggy as hell.

I've not seen that picture before, and I would have to agree with you on it being too well placed. 4 months isn't too bad, I can deal with that, providing the rumour mill and the picture is anything to go by. Exciting! :D
 
I hope they get it out before then. Having watched this development for 4-5 years, another half a year into 2012 seems like a painful wait :( And the game is so polished already! Most other MMO's would have had a release even in its current state (yes, I know Arenanet are trying something above that... but bleh).
 
I'm sticking to my June prediction - June at the very latest, that is - the optimist in me hopes for May. Especially if they're approaching stress-test stage, which is usually very close to release in MMOs.
