Guild Wars 2

Assuming it'll ever change from this random state of disorganised zergs is very... optimistic. That implies there's a hidden skill curve or strategy that new players are 'missing'. I don't think WvWvW even has a skill curve. It's always going to be a large zergy mess. Again, interesting concept on paper, disastrous result.

It wouldnt take too much to change it from disorganised zergs. Daoc was just disorganised zergs initially too and Daocs RvR was essentially the same as GW2 WvWvW in mechanics, just a little time and a little tweak here and there and things can be just as good as they were in Daoc.

It will defingilty change.

I'd say it's more likely that eventually the non serious people will filter out, and once it's seen that going off and doing your own thing doesn't work, things will get going properly. I haven't ventured into WvWvW yet so I can't really comment, but I can't imagine these people would stay in there if they are getting whooped left right and centre, which is what sounds like is happening at the moment.

Once we get this :(, I will set this as guild only, (better be able to set it to guild only) ..think as most people in the guild knows I like to lead WvW, but I also have zero tolerance for bullst!
I'm pretty sure if/when we get 30 players in with all the correct equipment w e will do fine.

I think as a guild once we start we will be OK, we will also get to know other players/guilds that we can invite into our runs, and we will also know who to make sure is never in ..**looks down!

Arknor whining never, he never whines

Not a lot but there is always a few playing (4 right now that I can see on mumble) it most of the day, once it is out we will be extremely active :D, lots have already bought the Alpha deal

you could have ignored the Arknor bit. He won a slamepad the other day lol.

Just got 2 shotted in seconds by warrior 1v1.

Bull charge, greatsword swing, hundred blades.

I was dead before I could even use a skill. wtf is this? Am I missing something or gw2 is not aware of this gross imbalance?

What class were you? Was that in PvP or WvW? What lv armour did you have on?

WvW, all armor is rare quality

I'am guardian in berserk armor, so sort of like a glass canon, but I couldn't even use a single skill in the time it took him to pretty much one shot me.

Edit: and I don't think he is glass canon, before that I saw him finishing off a guy, he was at 30%, so I came over thinking I could easily kill him, then I was dead the next second. Then I noticed that there was another enemy behind me, so I assumed they together nuked me, but it turns out no, that warrior can one shot me. Being at 30% health no problem for him >_>

Just to clarify that's 2 events, one I met him when he was at 30% and he one shot me, then pure 1v1, both full health he one shott me

You have to remember that bulls charge is short to medium range, and any sort of snare or immobilize will make it almost useless. It seems to be flavour of the month for low skill warriors simple because of how easy it is, but it is a useless attack when fighting against someone who knows how to counter it. When you see a greatsword warrior you should expect this, and can hopefully notice it in time to dodge the charge at which point the greatsword warrior is useless as the hundred blades makes you stand still and you can just move away from it.

If you are built as a glass cannon then that should pretty much be expected to kill you if you don't avoid it, since guardians are a low health glass already.

okay, thanks for the tip.

As for glass canon, I am all up for balance, I do high dmg but die quickly, but that warrior kills in microseconds and I couldn't kill him when he was 30% health, that don't seem balanced to me at all.

well a glass cannon warrior vs a glass cannon guardian, the warrior will have about 7.5k more health than you, so if you are solo and there is no one around to take the hits for you that you can't dodge, then you wont survive long enough to deal the damage. If you are not solo then hopefully you will have some classes with you to hinder the warriors mobility and make him useless. Most warriors that use greatsword tend to use frenzy, bulls charge, stability and rage all at the same time, which is why so much is put into that first attack, avoid that and the fight should be much easier, even as a glass cannon.

Well, basically I was missing something :D

All right, will keep my distance against greatsword warriors, hopefully won't feel like a helpless kitten anymore.

Lol love this, I have never being one shotted, 2 shotted or 3 shotted, I have played with zero armour on a level 35 ele, think the issue is how people play.

I've not been killed in GW2 yet full stop at level 38 hooray. (knocked down not killed)

Then you haven't come up against people in gear. My 80 Thief in full exotic would down you in two heartstrikes or a c&d>backstab :p My friends warrior in full exotics wouldn't even need to put that much effort in.

100 Blades Warriors do a minimum of 20k, 25-30k with all crits. Nobody survives them unless they move out the way, which isn't easy to do in WvW since most of them are stood on the sidelines waiting for Bull Rush to come off cooldown or someone else to land an immobilize on someone and then they go in for the free kill. In sPvP it isn't a problem as you can manage endurance/cooldowns better as well as keep track of individual players, when you're up against 20-30 people and theres a couple of 100 blades warriors in the mix just looking for victims then gl.

......unless they moving ...... End of

......unless they moving ...... End of

Which is the whole point of the bulls rush or in WvW them just waiting for someone else to land an immobilize. My friend in WvW waits for 3-4 things before he knows he can score at least one free kill from pressing one button:

- His Bull Rush is off CD
- Someone else has put an immobilize on them
- There is 2-3 people bunched up trying to res someone
- We're defending a keep and they're stacked on the door, he walks up behind the door, pops his 5 seconds of no-be-hurt and downs 5+ people in one 100 blades
