Guild Wars 2

Looking forward to tomorrow's update :)

I'm going to be smashing some more world v world now there is a reward built in!

Deso went through a purple patch a while back but we suck again now, well suck is a bit harsh on a constant tier 1 server but we pretty much always finish 3rd and never win. Not sure what has changed but ho hum :p

Could be quite easily be the worst server to be on for WvW - always getting felt. You could be in crappy lower tier servers and have a much better time in WvW than you ever will on Desolation.

Going to get to give this another go with the patch as culling ruining WvW (and the tiny issue of zero end game) is why I stopped playing all those months ago, so nice that they've removed it. But will be transferring to Seafearer's Rest as it seems like the only place to go if you (a) don't speak French (b) play the game for WvW.

Can see a lot jumping to seafarers (if its still medium, it's a very good wvw server and punches above its weight on a population basis) I would have considered but just getting settled into a decent guild so will probably pass.

I'm chuffed that I've got 7g on a level 40 :p

Some muppets were buying butter at over a silver a peice and I had 250. Chocolate was going for a bomb too and potatoes so I cashed. Plus sold about 40 mystic coins I had saved up :)

Just wish gold was shared across al characters like the laurels etc then I would have about 15g

Wish I had bought a mountain of butter and chocolate when it was like 2c a pop, I'd have been Scrooge McDuck rich >_<

I'm terrible at playing the TP, i've made a ton of money in GW2, but all from just normal playing.

Another example of TP failure, just after the Karka event I bought all the Underwater Legendary precursors for a song (like 6g each!), waited about a month and sold them for between 15-20g each thinking I'd done well... *smug mode*

Now they are worth between 55-90g each... DOH!

On another money making note I've been playing some markets on the TP recently and making a bit of cash. Nothing like the figures some people claim though. It's fairly easy to make 50s for a few mins work but risk is involved if the prices of what you buy don't reach the levels you want.

Listing fee's are a total profit killer so make sure you make a healthy margin over and above those because they really add up on a 7-8g total sale. So on a 50 x item purchase of around 15s per item I'm making a total profit of 50s or so across the whole trade. That's if they all sell at my higher preferred price. Sometimes you have to stagger the sell price to create a demand but what I trade in is often a very fast moving market anyway. I'm only just getting into this so I'm still learning and reading up on it.

One day I'll have enough to buy the precursor I need for my legendary but that day won't be happening for months, at this rate *sigh*.

I hope I don't lose complete interest in the game before then because it's already dragging a bit.

What is the basis behind that though, quickness has never seemed OP from what I've seen.

I could do 30k dmg in about 2-3 seconds on my thief by spamming heart strike with quickness. It was pretty stupid... but they should have probably made some of the quickness skill slots last much longer or added extra effects to them to compensate, as on it's own it isn't that great now.

Lip-flap has been enabled for all voiced lines on Players and NPCs in world.
What does this mean - do npc mouths move when talking?

Mesmer GS change is strange; I wish they'd have left spatial surge alone and focused on buffing #3 mind stab.
