Guild Wars 2

Half I tried finding you in game but I could never get hold of you whispered you once or twice but you never got back :(

In a random pvx guild at the mo and they are a decent crowd have had my first ever runs of AC (done path 1) and CoF (story) which was fun, they are starting guild missions in the next week or so iirc.

Also anyone know if any further stages of the refugee item finds have been released?

McDaniel if you drop your tag in here I will look you up in game and tag along with you drop a few tips etc if you want? :)

The Immortals have all pretty much merged with "Purge" if anyone needs a home?

I am just casually playing... Level 6 atm and my only other MMO Experience is SWTOR and so far there are a lot of differences; just be nice to see some chatter while I play and be able to ask questions as I level :)
 
I've just joined a new guild now who are recruiting some new people for dungeons/fractals and guild missions (Already got bounties unlocked).

It's a small guild, and you don't need to represent all the time, so could be useful to get commendations. If you want in then send me a whisper and I can invite you.

just retrying this again today, started a char warrior, kicking ass with 2 axes :) ive only got to level 35 before with a thief but wasnt really getting on too well and was put off

hope i can stick with it as im sure theres loads to see
 
Hope the new patch coming out soon adds some decent content. I can't play for more than an hour now without getting bored. Might transfer my 80g to another char.

Next patch will add some content for the 'Living Story', and a lot of WvW updates.

I started a Warrior and Guardian a few weeks back and got them both to around level 20 before concentrating more on the Guardian. The one thing the warrior lacked was any type of decent escape skills or distance catchers. The Guardian just seems to have everything covered from melee/ranged/healing/buffage/gap closes/escape skills/group buffs and more.

I'll get him to 40 like my other two mains then probably get the warrior to around the same level. I cannot play just one class all the time, total altaholic me :D
 
I just play the game, mainly dungeons and fractals and make a ton of money, I've not farmed a single minute in game. I'm currently trying to get all the Mist type weapons for my Warrior.

I've got 2 x Reaver of the Mists, Wall of the Mists, and Urchin's Needles at the moment.

I was going to get Illusion next, but then I discovered the amazingness that is Ignus Fatuus, and now I must have it.

It's the most blinging spear you've ever seen :D

I said I was transferring it to another char, if it isn't a big deal to you then don't quote me on it. I've seen others in the thread comment on how much they currently have without you singling them out.

I salvaged almost every one of the 250 ectos I needed for my Vision of the Mists.

I feel your pain, it's a hard slog to get the money and materials together for it. But in a way I guess it should be. It's one of the "semi-legendary" weapons out there, after all.

One thing I did was to buy cheap rares of the TP and salvage them using Black Lion kits if possible. I always bought chestpieces with a major rune of the Eagle, Lyssa or Dwayna. Then I would sell back the runes that came off the salvage on the TP to recoup 1.5g of the orignal 6-7g cost of buying 25 of those rares in the frist place.

Between 1-3 ectos (and yes sometimes you get NONE!), the rune and materials per salvage was the best/fastest method I could come up with to reach the 250 ecto goal without buying them individually.

You mentioned it because you thought everyone would go "ooohhh, how did you get so much gold!"

I called you out on your veiled gloating.

No I didn't mention it for that reason at all, that's just your blind assumption. It's not out of context as it's a part of the game.
 
Fastest way to get rares to salvage atm is to event hop to the new boosted chests.

Claw of Jormag
Tequatyl the Sunless
The Shatterer
Fire Elemental
Frozen Maw
Giant Wurm
Megadestroyer
Shadow Behemoth

And the 5 Orr Temples being the main ones.

All give at least one guaranteed rare per day per character. Hence since their introduction the price of Ecto has plummeted (from ~39.5s to ~26s).
