Guild Wars 2

everyone said the same thing about SWTOR

I didn't play retail SWTOR but was it pretty much a case of fantastic starter areas with fairly naff end-game content?

That's still an unknown for GW2, but considering what they've learnt from GW1, which had appalling end-game at release compared to what it has now, I'm not too worried.

My only wish is that ArenaNet listen to the beta feedback and make the appropriate changes, unlike Bioware who completely ignored feedback and well.. we know what kind of state the game is in now.

I guess they will do changes, but only depending on what the changes are. If it's fixing bugs/problems or adding a slider for Spell Effects so melee can see what they are doing then they probably will.

If it's changing something as people want it to be like WOW or another MMO then i guess it'll depend on if they feel it's a good change or one they are not willing to do.

I would also say of the professions i tried Ranger seemed the one i might like to try more of.
Stress test on monday night ? hmmm something to do till 11pm when hell breaks loose literally :)

wvw is all the end game I'll be needing!

After I got my refund from Cj's, I ordered another copy from Zavvi last week - they arrived today.

I was going to email about removing the key from my account that is tied to my Gmail address but I suddenly remembered on Gmail, you can just add a "." in when signing up on the GW2 account and it will be seen by Gmail as the same account but different by Ncsoft (if that makes sense!) - I had to do this a while ago for something.

Not sure if/how this works with other email providers...

So another two pages of even more invalid complaints by people who didn't like the game :D

There's nothing negative whatsoever about a pre purchase, if you don't want to buy the game yet then don't. I don't get why anyone would pay £50 just to play a beta for a game they don't even want in the first place.

The pre purchase and beta access are there for people who already know they will be playing GW2, mostly fans of the first game.

Complaining about pre purchases like this is really just pathetic, but expected from people trying to do nothing but complain about something they don't like, and that no one is forcing them to pay for anyway.

Don't like it? Don't buy it. Unsure about the game? Wait until after it is released for reviews and free trials.

Without wanting to poke the nest, got a completely ranom email from NCSoft today about my original query almost 2 weeks ago...

Hello,

I apologize for the delay in our response; we have an unusually high ticket volume which we are working through as quickly as possible.

Your code is a North American region code and not an European code. The code was purchased from our site with a fraudulent credit card and it has been disabled and all benefits tied to the code have been disabled as well. We are not able to provide any type of screen shot.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

A certain online retailer that a lot of us ordered from seems to have well and truly ballsed up on this one.

Odd thing now tho think I might not reorder until I've had a proper bash at tera.

Most if not all the official retailers are out of stock, well the decent priced ones anyway.

Tho I have been avoiding this little spat this is dead right, but then you will always get idiots who want to complain about everything.

Little note to the other whiners, YOUR NOT PAYING FOR BETA, you just getting it if you pre-purchase the game! ...no one is forcing you to buy it.

Spot on.

I think there have been games that have charged for Beta, Tera was one of them £5 to get full beta access but that isn't all that bad to try a game. It still is a payment for beta regardless of how cheap it is. It's the same as that Path of Exile which is going F2P but is charging around £5 to get full beta access.

In the end if you don't want to buy before you try wait and see if you get accepted into the beta otherwise wait until release check more videos/reviews maybe get a refer a friend and try it out then.

I guess that was one good thing about getting it from CJS keys.. You got to try the beta without purchasing the full game.. After you got refunded of course. *gets coat*

Talking dogs and rabbits and green fairy hippy things.

People have strange methods of accepting things.

It just Pandas's, it really seems a step too far for me! Kung fu panda anyone?

Just to make it clear I've never been into the WoW lore and vanilla was the right balance for me. It seems to just get sillier with each expansion.
