It is nice going back to GW1 after so long to get my HoM, It was even hard to pull myself off it to play the first GW2 beta weekend.
 
well, I have got up to 17/50 in HOM points, but it won't let me register my pet (for my Ranger) even though it is lvl 20 and evolved to DIRE
I have gone to the Zaishen Menagerie, so is available across my account (not just Ranger) but still can't register it at the Fellowship tapestry
Anyone help?

GW is certainly my most played game ever. I created my first character the day my daughter was born... she's now 7 and has a character of her own :eek:
 
S'funny, hadn't played GW hardly at all for the past year or so, then I hopped on to finish off GWAMM and get the last few things for 50/50. - showoff.

Recently, however, I've got the GW bug back somewhat, and I've done Winds of Change on four characters just for those freaky greens! A shield that looks like a sword, a scythe that looks like a staff, daggers that look like swords and a focus item that thinks it is a pair of daggers. Love it!

Started off playing through it in HM last night, guess where I paused? Yep, Minister Cho's - to be honest, I'm dreading that in HM. Plain sailing thereafter, I should think. I'm using the meta 7 hero support from pvx.

GW2 - just a mention to validate my post :)

Is the pet with you when you're trying to assign it to your HoM or did you drop it off at the Menagerie? I can't quite remember but I believe you have to have it with you.
Also I take it you've used a tapestry on the fellowship monument?

The Great Destroyer with Hero/Hench I'd done so much previously but then got caught up in the whole WoW affair which I glad I ended over 2 years ago and been without a PC for about that time but built a new one since I knew GW2 was on the horizon and so impressed by the Beta.

Nice playing GW again and the HoM thingie just gives an incentive to do so. I've rolled a ranger whilst playing GW2 its nice how the skills change on fly dependent on what weapon you have equipped and it just so happens most of the HoM rewards seem to be ranger related (kinda). Is there any guilds around for GW/GW2?

yup was with me and I had a tapestry up too....very odd :(

Wow my daughter is nearly 3 so maybe she'll get a GW2 char in a couple of years then haha :D

You get one generic animal statue which can be of any pet, after that only specific pets can be placed there.

1) Black Widow Spider from Underworld
2) Imperial Pheonix from the area after, you killed Shiro (Raisu Palace)
3) Black Moa pet (it's in Ferndale, but only after you do the quest chain to unlock it).

Anything else is rejected by the monument, once you've added the generic pet.

Its the Generic Pet I am trying to add....unsuccessfully :confused:
 
I had that with a pet, just wouldn't let me for some reason. Had to release my pet and go level another one.
 
Also note that the monument only accepts evolved pets - it is possible under certain circumstances to get a pet to level 20 without it evolving.
 
I read somewhere that if a pet was evolved before the HoM was introduced there can be a bug.

Get another pet and do THIS method to get the pet quickly upto lvl 20.

Also useful for the imperial pheonix.
