Launch was perfect for me, it's was notable as they're very rare.
Up within minutes, logged in without effort, made character, played fine until my body forced me to sleep.

Disaster it was not for all.

Agree tho the game was pants, the launch was excellent.

How quickly were you in? I remember they staggered the release over 7~ days. This in itself wasn't a good idea because many people were max level before some people had even got in; all because they pre-ordered earlier.

There were absolutely massive queues at times (2-3+ hours) on quite a lot of servers, perhaps it was fine if you were on a deserted one.

It was far from good, far from it.

GW2 is possibly going to be even more popular than everything before it, so the demand could be enormous. It's entirely possible there will be serious issues tonight, and at launch.

That isn't to say there definitely will be, they might have some seriously good servers, but we'll see.

Hi guys :)
For whoever hasnt got beta or is away and still would like to see some gameplay I will be streaming live all weekend.
First GW2 beta for me so will be from a fresh player perspective.
feel free to join, starting as soon as servers get up !

when does servers go up? wouldnt mind watching seeing as you're just starting and ive not seen any of the game yet :)

I got in the earliest it was possible (niman).
