Guild Wars 2

Warping all over the place. Not bothered as its a stress test. Roll on the weekend. Really liking the game now and want to play my characters that won't be deleted!
 
Started off as the worst test yet with the auth issues and then the sPvP browser, and then the WvWing teleporting..

Still good fun when it works though!
 
Checked my GPU usage and VRAM usage and it was 99% on GPU but that's pretty obvious. Surprising thing is only 440mb VRAM. When i loaded MoP earlier is was maxing my 1GB VRAM...GW2 looks better...

Teleporting was a bit of an issue, ended up with bow on the thief.
 
Had a great test, calling it a night now as I have to start work early but had zero issues and really enjoyed the Necro class, hmmm... more confusion over what class now :p
 
Decided I'm definitely going Warrior. Tried Thief and Ranger and didn't like it. Ran very smoothly still although the rubber banding and porting was annoying. I assume that was from the stress test though as it was fine last weekend

Gave my Sylvari Necro another whirl. My god, the necro plays really well now; dark path feels really nice to use with the bleeds. Also, enjoyed the plants vs zombies tribute :P
 
Had a quick play with guardian, can't decide if I like it or not. Think it's going to take a while to get used to this MMO lark, didn't realise mouse camera control wasn't default, feels a bit weird moving round the world while holding the right mouse button.

Is it worth me getting one off those Logitech controller things? Struggling a little to manage skills and move with WASD.

Asura are the only race I haven't tried now, so I'll have one of them as my first.

I'll have one of each eventually anyway, it's just picking the classes.
 
Well I watched some gameplay footage and previews. Realised it's only 3 days away till head start access so it looks like Ill be grabbing it! No idea what prof/race I want to go with ATM.


I played the original Guild Wars years ago and I've linked my GW account to my GW2 account. I've forgotten my char name, is there a way to find out what it was so I can see if I've got anything from that legacy system?

I was using sceptre/focus then staff. You could stack shed loads of conditions with staff, switch drop grasping hands then I think it was called devout which does more damage based on the amount of conditions on whatever you are fighting pretty much insta dies :D

Only negative of the Necro is the pet is godawful useless and does straight away so you struggle to heal, a lot of dodge practice :p

did anyone experience the same issues?

the game crashed pretty often for me with OC on the CPU, GPU OC was no problem.

as soon as I set my cpu on default clock, no crashes anymore and even more fps o_O. with crashes I mean that only the game crashed and brought up the arenanet problem report tool, not the whole computer (the OC works fine on everything else, though gw2 doesnt even use that much of cpu power)
