Guild Wars 2

How long does it take for support to sort ur account out? anyone else get hacked and know? I just wanna play the game i bought ffs, getting hacked without even logging in and not even having the internet at the time is sooo annoying :@
 
Really hating the controls for this, can't seem to get used to having to spin everything / the camera. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong? The game looks and plays decent but I can't play it with the camera the way it is .. gutted!
 
Hi all, I've been swayed into purchasing this as I have some IRL mates that play it. After much temptation I'm thinking of giving it a go.

Question; main website isn't taking digital sales atm. My guess is that if I want to get playing ASAP I need to go buy this from a real store, or wait for digital sales to reopen?

Any thoughts or advice? I have read the thread back a few pages to check (girly page size).
 
They are currently working on support tickets for hacked accounts that were raised on the 30th August. It sounds like they have had a lot of hacked accounts, mine included. i don't have any hope of my character still existing :(

If you want to play it now the the only way is go to a store and grab a copy. I suspect the digital store will be down for at least a week more and is more expensive anyway. There are key sellers online but having been burnt by them not sure I'd recommend that one again.

Sorry but no it really hasn't. I was looking forward to playing this game but since launch throughout the day this game has been unplayable. 5-6 second lag delays on your abilities just renders the game ( for me at least ) unplayable. The only time I have had no lag was last night at around 1am.

I like what anet are trying to bring to the table and its got some good ideas ( W v W v W ) but this game just doesn't grab me like other MMO's have in the past.

Seems the issues we had with guild influence has been fixed and out buildings are back that disappeared.
I also like to offer anyone a guild on Desolation we are called [SOD} Scythians Of Desolation

we have guild website up and vent also and have no rules of joining multiple guilds

I wouldn't say it's been a smooth launch, but equally it has been no worse than any other MMO launch of recent times (with perhaps the exception of Rift)

Much respect to Anet for trying to break the mould, there are some issues they need to sort gameplay wise but this is immeasurably better than another bland WoW clone. This game offers something different than the WoW direction (abd I think WoW and GW2 work well in their own way) and I think the genre will be better for it as the next wave will pick the best of both and improve the genre again (hopefully) rather than the wow clone rut the genre has languished in the last 5 years.

Nice, add me in game to your friends list if you want, then when the que times are fixed on wvwvw, we can maybe look to creating a guild alliance runs.

added you m8, we are only small for now as have only just started to recruit. We shall be trying to recruit hard over the coming months.

I was also going to msg you about the alliance as we are very interested :)

My copy should be here tomorrow (should have been here yesterday :mad: ), wouldn't mind joining so I'll contact you when I get on

Make sure you're turning the camera with right click not left click :)
 
bought this on a whim as a few guys at work bought it .. So far very good .. Having done the whole UO/WOW/SWG/RIFT/ etc im kinda treating this like a single player game and its working fine.

Lvl 9 now and just working through the content . Looks lovely on max settings .. had no issues logging on or lag or stuff . When i have died there is someone about to ress me.. The events seem to run well and even done some higher end ones and other than getting 1 shotted a few times was good fun .

Sorry to hear some people have had issues but compared to wow and other beta first day releases it has been super smooth and no issues for me !
