Guild Wars 2

I've been around manchester looking for this and can't find it in HMV or Gamestation. It looks like it is out of stock in the usual onlne places and there's no digital download.

where can I get this from?

This is the problem today. HMV and Gamestation are crap game retailers, especially for PC.

I bought this yesterday, apparently cool shop will have this in stock tomorrow for download version for £33, I got mine from electronicfirst for £37, took about 30 mins to get the key.

Am really enjoying it so far but not sure the best way to spend karma? Should I save it til higher level? I am lvl 11 atm.

I am on destruction so hopefully see some of you in game!

Cheers

Ach well, after all the trouble dear Shamikebab went too for me, it really doesn't look like I'm going to be able to play this game much, if at all.

Bloody real life!

Sorry to hear that mate :( I guess that's the pro of a no subscription game though, you can just pick it up whenever you have the time.

I don't understand why ANet aren't selling these direct themselves... not being able to meet demand of virtual goods is a bit silly... there's nothing holding them back on bringing in even more players whilst they're interested and early on - Oh, except that nobody can get hold of the game at even close to it's RRP right now. I may be a tad bitter as well since my ten minutes of Googling did not lead me to a sub-£40 instant delivery/download key and this strikes me as a bad way to market an excellent game.

Raventu - it's not a subs based game, they aren't going to let it have a low price just now as it's both in demand and NEW. More players benefits them later but not at the moment, they've more than enough to keep them busy and people are buying it at £40+

Banners - they need to allow you to prevent others picking them up, getting fed up of putting one down for a fight then someone running off with it!

They don't need to market it, word of mouth alone has it sold out everywhere. And a virtual good isn't unlimited - they still need servers and bandwidth to service each virtual copy of the game.

Yes and as explained this was a genuine mistake by the guy, he didn't know he was buying and selling keys from a supplier who had obtained them through stolen credit cards. He didn't give refunds right away until the whole situation had been assessed but everyone did get a refund in the end. It's now one of the biggest key selling sites, you don't get that big if you're dodgy.

It was the manner in which it was dealt with. I was given several useless emails that didn't make any sense, grammatically and explanation of what was the situation.

I would advise not purchasing from there.

It's not about being unable to meet demand, you're just bitter. They are doing it to ease pressure on their servers, they will start selling again when the pressure has died down abit.

Ohh they in stock now? hmm all working fine? might pick one up from there.

not seen a single advert for GW2 and it's outselling server capacity :D This game is a success I tells ya. They are going to have sales like day one for months to come too.

Success comes over time.

I'm really enjoying the game so far. My only issue is big events in the open world can be quite chaos as a melee warrior you see nothing but flashy spells being casted which means you get hit by everything. I normally switch out to my rifle at this point as melee is suicide.

Can't wait to try dungeons. For the first time ever though I am enjoying leveling my character. Normally I rush to end game content.

Yeah, i wouldn't rush...been 80 since saturday and not been on since really...

Why not? Being 80 doesn't mean you're done with the exploration factor (far from it), you still gain experience past 80 (dinging beyond 80 = 1 skill point) and you essentially have access to all dungeons

But a lot of it is broken so no fun factor at all for me. :(
