Guild Wars 2

A quick question on the guardian.

What's with the virtues, are they passive? Everytime I press one it vanishes off the boon(buff) bar for 45secs then re-appears.

The "aura" can essentially be consumed for an increased effect (see the tooltip for individual effects), during the cooldown time the passive effect no longer applies, but will be rebuffed once it comes off cooldown.

But yes, each one has a passive effect such as Virtue of Justice applying burning condition on every fifth attack, but can be consumed to instantly cause everyone to inflict burning on their next attack (during which time you no longer apply burning on every fifth attack until the cooldown has refreshed).

Yes and also important to note with the majority of the summon abilities (summon a sword, shield, hammer etc) most of them all have the same effect when summoned but all have a different active. I think the bow is the exception.

Sorry for the redundant question, but I'm looking for a professional trainer to buy the Adept Training Guide from... Can anyone help me out?

Cheers. :p

You know that you can rebind the controls to anything you want don't you??! What's so bad about the camera anyway?

First thing I did after character creation (following a guide suggested somewhere online that I now can't find) was move the camera speed slider to around 50%.

The default is horrible (to me), and it made all the difference in the world.

I reckon prices will start to go up as this initial wad of saved up stuff from launch gets gradually depleted. If not then it's permacheap gear for levelling :D Buying new stuff even every 2-3 levels is dirt cheap and it gives such a boost all round - who said pvp would be non gear affected :P

Well I guess we will have to see what the economy is like in 2 months once there is a larger number of level 80s - this should be enough time for it to all bed in. As you say prices should stabilise then, i haven't even checked current level 80 gear prices yet. GW2 does have plenty of money sinks in order to stop ridiculous inflation (Waypoints, repairs, salvage kits, low vendor prices for selling, reagents needed for crafting) - hopefully this is enough to keep it in check

It could be the speed actually, I'l try that. I want to get on with it because it looks really good but if I can't i'l have to sell. Still happy with Diablo3 for now :)

Just to check - to get items/money from sales on the AH I THINK you have to actually go there - the 'success' is mailed to you by in-game mail, but I belive you have to actually go and access the trading post to collect the spoils, as it were.

Yeah you do have to go there to pickup your goodies, though I've never actually had a success ingame mail, its only been by accident that I have gone to check that I have even noticed that I have money to pick up.

To be honest, I dont really like the AH in its current incarnation, I would prefer a more traditional AH style where I put an item up for sale and people bid on that one item and its eventually sold, rather than this one where my item is one of 450 and once I put it up for sale it just disappears in the mass rather than being an individual item that I can track.

Hmmm downloading the patch has stopped at 28%, can i close the installer page and resume the download or would i have to start from the start again?
